After introducing the hip-hop world to such artists as Ja Rule, DMX and Ashanti, Murder Inc CEO, video director and record producer Irv Gotti, has decided to throw his hat in the ring as a rapper. With his new compilation album “Irv Gotti Presents Murder Inc” due in stores July 2nd, heads will get to hear Irv Gotti spit rhymes on one of the tracks. Gotti, who has recently been directing Murder Inc.’s latest installment of music video’s, for his artists Ja Rule (“Down A** Chick”, and “Down for You”, which showcases some very notable guest appearances-Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston”) and Ashanti (“Foolish and “Happy”), hopes to achieve some of the same success as a rapper as his artists.
Irv Gotti is already set to be artist on Ja Rule’s new label Murder Inc.2 (also known as MI2).Though it is not yet known when Irv Gotti’s solo project will be released to the public, it can definitely be something to look forward to.
