With an album coming in the next two months, rapper B.G.has been a public figure once more. Although authorities released information today, this past Tuesday, publicity came when the Hot Boy was arrested in his hometown of New Orleans for weapons possession and booked on a felony charge.

The rapper, most known for his seminal Cash Money Records hit “Bling, Bling” was arrested with two others (one a minor), when their Chevrolet Tahoe was stopped for a moving violation. Upon search and seizure, three firearms were discovered by police. Additional magazines and extended clips of artillery were also confiscated.

B.G. was charged with possession of one illegal firearm, and appeared before a magistrate yesterday, though his bond/release status is unconfirmed. Today, E1 Entertainment, B.G.‘s former label, announced a Monday press day for the rapper. E1 is presently assisting Chopper City/Atlantic in marketing his Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood album, a project said to be executive produced by T.I., currently serving time for a similar conviction. The album features single “My Hood,” a track produced by onetime group-mate Mannie Fresh.
