Ice Spice‘s career seems to be skyrocketing with each passing moment, with the Bronx rap star recently spotted shutting down her hometown while filming a music video.

Ice Spice’s lyric from “Princess Diana” certainly holds true, according to a video that surfaced online Wednesday (May 10), in which the 23-year-old is seen filming an unreleased video in front of a huge crowd.

As the footage shows, Ice Spice is arguably rap’s “it girl” of the moment and has no sign of slowing down. It also speaks volumes of her budding brand power that hundreds of people gathered outside just hoping to catch a glimpse rapper.

For example, a clip of an unrealized track of hers, which will appear on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse‘s upcoming soundtrack, has fans going crazy.

Recently, Rory & Mal argued that Ice Spice wouldn’t be as successful as she is if she were a dark-skinned woman, with their producer adding that the rapper isn’t even talented.

“If we saying that colorism doesn’t exist because a dark-skinned girl could never soar the way that fucking Ice Spice did off having zero to no talent,” she said.

Demaris continued by saying that frankly she’s not a fan of Spice’s music, but added that she wasn’t “hating” on the “Munch” rapper.

“If she was dark-skinned she would not be as big as she is,” she continued. “That’s what I said. That’s not taking anything away from her.”
