Ice Spice has been accused of throwing shade at Latto with recent comments about her female rap peers.

The “Munch” rapper sat down with Variety on Thursday (September 28), where she spoke about the cutthroat competition that exists between Hip Hop’s current crop of leading ladies.

“It is a competition at the end of the day,” she said. “People want to be all, ‘I’m a girl’s girl,’ but then behind the scenes being bitches. Basically, we here, the girls, are doing amazing. I’m excited to see it. I feel like the competition is what keeps us all excited because I think we all secretly enjoy competing and seeing who put that shit on better and who’s gon’ get the most views.

“I can be transparent, and I know the competition is checking on me too, which is why it’s OK to say that. Because it’s like, ‘Yeah, girl, I’m watching you and I know you watching me.’ And boys are watching too, because they be secretly haters.

She continued: “But everybody today is competing with everybody no matter if you a boy, girl, nonbinary, whatever it is. You still checking in on your competition. That’s in every industry.”

Some fans felt that Ice Spice’s “bitches” dig was aimed at Latto given the apparent friction that has been brewing between the two of them this year.

“If it’s one thing ice spice going do it’s stay on Latto’s neck!” one person wrote on X, while another added: “The latto jab, we love ice spice.”

Someone else joked in an Instagram comment: “This can apply to A LATTOf people. Lol.”

Tension between the rap starlets began to take hold in March when a fan accused Latto of ripping off Ice Spice’s signature pose, which she vehemently denied.

“Every time y’all accuse me of copying folks ima clear it up. Nun mo nun less,” she hit back, before adding in a separate tweet: “I don’t like how y’all take my tweets & make them fit ur weak ass narratives.”
