Ice Cube has become immortalized at Hollywood’s iconic TCL Chinese Theatre for his impact on the entertainment industry.

The rapper and actor imprinted his hands and feet (or technically his Converse All-Stars, a world first) in the famous cinema’s forecourt on Tuesday (April 15), putting him in the company of hundreds of legendary Hollywood figures including Steve McQueen, Harrison Ford and Jack Nicholson.

At the ceremony, Cube said to ABC7: “To have my hands, signature, to put the Chuck Taylors in the cement here, it’s next level. It’s things you don’t even dream of because the dream is too big.”

Cube’s son, fellow actor O’Shea Jackson Jr., also gave a brief speech from the podium where he said: “For almost 30 years I have been asked the same question, from the schoolyard to red carpets: ‘What’s it like being Ice Cube’s son?'”

He jokingly answered: “It’s cool. Ice Cube’s cool. Which is the number one quality you want from an ice cube.”

Mike Epps was also on hand to pay tribute to his friend and frequent co-star, saying: “Ice Cube has been the most influential part of my life apart from my dad. I listened to his music as a teenager. I’m still starstruck of this dude. I’m still amazed at his talent.”

Cube later said of the honor on Instagram: “Today was legendary. Left my prints in cement at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Honored to continue to receive my flowers in a business I never thought I’d be apart of.”

The post also led to congratulations from various figures within Hip Hop and Hollywood, including Tyrese who said: “Congratulations King Cube! We are forever inspired. Wish I was there. Congratulations big bro!”
