Hip Hop Single Sales: Drake, Alessia Cara & The Weeknd

    There are a few changes to the R&B/Hip Hop single sales chart this week with The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” dropping from #5 to #13 as a result of a 43% fall in sales. Elsewhere, Travi$ Scott’s “Antidote” jumps to #9 and lastly, Drake and Future’s “Jumpman” rises to #5.

    Drake Stays Rooted To #1

    For a seventh consecutive week, Drake’s “Hotline Bling” lands at the top of the chart despite having experienced a significant 32% decrease in sales since last week’s report. The single sold 57,355 copies during the seven days leading to December 3, taking its total sales since its official release to 1,557,988 units.

    Alessia Cara Climbs To #2

    Following a steady rise over the past few weeks, Alessia Cara finds herself at #2 this week with her single, “Here.” The cut sold 39,964 units during the seven days leading to December 3 taking the single’s total sales since its official release to 675,692 copies.

    The Weeknd Slips To #3

    A 43% decrease in sales results in The Weeknd coming in at #3 this week for his single, “The Hills.” Unlike the song’s somewhat unexpected 42% increase in sales last week, the cut felt a 43% decrease in sales this week, meaning it sold 39,686 units during the seven days leading to December 3.
