The red carpet has been rolled out once again for the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards in Newark, New Jersey. That means Hip Hop has another opportunity to flex its fashion sense under the bright lights.
Plenty of rappers are scheduled to perform and many artists are nominated for awards, but the biggest spotlight of the night will be on Missy Elliott. Fresh off the release of her Iconology EP, Missy will become the first female rapper to receive the VMA’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
Fans can watch all the festivities on MTV and other Viacom networks such as BET and VH1 starting Monday night (August 26) at 8 p.m. Eastern.
