Gunna reportedly won’t be called to testify against any defendants in the ongoing YSL RICO case, despite speculation he snitched in exchange for his freedom.
According to WSB-TV, Gunna (real name Sergio Kitchens) pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge when he was back in court for a virtual hearing on Wednesday (December 14). He was sentenced to five years with one year served in prison where he’s been since he was detained in May as part of the sweeping YSL indictment against Young Thug and his label.

The four-year sentence left will be “suspended” and Gunna will now be allowed to serve the remainder of his time in the form of 500 hours of community service.
Gunna made it clear immediately upon his freedom that he would not be cooperating with the authorities.

“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” Gunna told WSB-TV in a statement.
Since Gunna’s release, 6ix9ine,Freddie Gibbs,Boosie Badazz and Wack 100 have all accused him of being a rat, with the latter simply saying: “Listen… you’re not pleading guilty to a RICO, and they’re freeing you. He did something.”

However, new reports from Rolling Stone claim that the Drip Harder rhymer will not be testifying against any of his YSL contemporaries.
“It’s understood that the state is not going to call him as a witness,” a source, who wished to remain anonymous, told the publication. “That’s why the plea agreement is written exactly the way it is because the whole idea was: the state wasn’t going to call him, and they didn’t want the defense to call him either.”

They continued: “If you look at what was said in court, that stops the defense from calling him, but also indicates that he’s never going to testify for the state.” The source said the aim of the plea was “to neutralize him and keep him out of the game.”
Young Thug’s sister also came to the defense of the rap superstar, demanding people stop calling him a snitch.

“Can y’all please stop saying then people write it and this and that? It’s not making anybody better or nothing good,” Thug’s sister Dolly White said on IG Live. “Nothing that’s going on is helping my brother. So can y’all please stop that. If y’all love Gunna, then y’all give him support. Why the fuck y’all over there y’all tripping. It be the internet for me.”
While Gunna is now a free man, the same can’t be said for Young Thug, who remains behind bars in a Cobb County jail with his trial set to start in January.

Thugger was hit with additional charges earlier this week outside of his RICO case. He received misdemeanor charges for street racing, reckless driving and speeding. Thug is alleged to have drove a vehicle at 120 mph on Interstate 85 in May.
Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, said the rapper is innocent of all of the charges and is a victim of the system.
“As of two weeks ago, that case was being resolved with a seatbelt violation,” he said in a statement. “Today, now its indicted in the Fulton County Superior Court. He is being wronged by our system.”
However, Thugga was able to score a legal victory on Friday (December 16), when a judge Fulton County Judge Ural Glanville sided with the Slime Season star and ruled that the evidence seized during a 2015 raid couldn’t be used against him in the upcoming trial.

Young Thug was arrested with Gunna and 26 others on racketeering charges related to Young Slime Life back in 2021, which prosecutors allege is a criminal street gang that claims affiliation with the Bloods.
