Gunna has given his track “I Was Just Thinking” the visual treatment, dropping yet another new video off his album a Gift & a Curse.

“I Was Just Thinking” is one of the biggest tracks to appear on the project, as it directly addresses the onslaught of snitching allegations Gunna has faced since pleading guilty to a sole racketeering conspiracy charge related to the YSL RICO case last December.

Gunna has insisted from day one that he didn’t snitch on anyone, and reaffirms this claim multiple times on “I Was Just Thinking,” where he opens up about crying over Young Thug’s situation and the “lies” people have been saying about him.

That’s four walls talkin’ to you, tellin’ you you gone/ Only I done criеd, ’cause this feelin’ for my bro (King Slime)/ And you know my mind, you done watched that n-gga grow/ I know you hear the lies, it’s your lil’ brother, my folk/ Yeah, I had popped out, but don’t let ’em say I told,” he raps in the video as four walls begin to close around him, similar to that of a solitary confinement jail cell.

Watch the video below.

The new video comes after Gunna dropped off a Gift & a Curse last week, his first new album since 2022’s DS4EVER, and the first since he was released from jail in December. Gunna was sentenced to five years with one year served due to the time he spent behind bars after being arrested in May last year as part of the sweeping indictment against YSL, which prosecutors allege is a “criminal street gang.”

Gunna’s music also hasn’t been as well received as it once was. An Atlanta club was brought entirely to a standstill a few weeks after the DJ decided to spin a few of Gunna’s signature tunes, with many attendees seen on video not even nodding their heads along.

To make matters worse, it was reported by the verified Twitter account “YSL RICO updates” that both Gunna and Young Thug have allegedly been added to the prosecution’s witness list in a separate RICO case involving the YFN (Young Fly N-gga) collective, who are associates of Thugga‘s. The witness list, however, has not been independently verified by prosecutors.

As for YSL leader Young Thug, he is admittedly having a hard time as the jury selection process continues to drag on for his high-profile case. As previously reported by WSB-TV, Thugga (real name Jeffrey Williams) recently had a medical emergency while he was in court back in May, and the proceedings were halted as he was rushed to a nearby hospital.

“I know he’s had some difficulty of a similar sort at the Cobb County Jail a few months ago, and so I’m obviously concerned about his wellbeing,” his attorney, Keith Adams, told Judge Ural Glanville at the time.

“Mr. Williams is sleep deprived, mandated to wake up on court days between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. and not having more than five hours of sleep per night. By the end of the week, Mr. Williams is fighting to pay attention to the goings on in his case.”
