Gunna, Future & Young Thug Make 2022 History With ‘Pushin P’ Single

Despite backlash from rappers such as Sauce Walka and Freddie Gibbs about the origin of the term, it appears Gunna, Young Thug and Future’s efforts to popularize the “Pushin P” lingo from their popular single has paid off.

On Tuesday (March 15), the trio of Atlanta-bred lyricists became the first artists of 2022 to earn a gold certification from the RIAA for their efforts on their “Pushin P” collaboration which appeared on Gunna’s DS4EVER album back in January.

The gold plaque for “Pushin P” serves as yet another accolade for Gunnna’s DS4EVER album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart after a brutal sales battle with The Weeknd’s Dawn FM project.

Gunna’s DS4Ever is his highest-charting offering from his signature Drip Season mixtape series, as the previous iteration, Drip Season 3, debuted and peaked at No. 55 in 2018. It’s also his highest selling release and posted a major increase in first-week sales with 150,300 equivalent album units earned compared to his collaborative Drip Harder album with Lil Baby, which also sold 130,000 units in 2018.

Last month, news broke that the album itself has also sold over 500,000 units, which makes it eligible for its own gold certification as well.

    1. So y’all ready to forget this horse teeth having mf is a snitch? I notice the hiphop audience these days are such sheep, eating up whatever garbage the media promote to them like this clown who can’t even rap. crying about snitching but at the same time looking the other way if he’s got the “hottest” single out at the moment. It’s embarrassing that crossdressing rappers who rock purses and bellbottoms and dye they hair is what constitutes the look for a rapper these days. These so called men are more into fashion and earrings than my wife is lmao

      1. Yep, that’s cuz most the men of this generation more like bitches and pound more man ass than a linebacker. Hip Hop is doomed. They are slaves and don’t have the mental capacity to think for themselves or comprehend complex subject matters so hence the reason why they listen to gay shit cuz it’s simple, easy to follow for them, and fits their lifestyle.

    2. It’s the National Gay Pride Anthem of 2022. Congratulations to TSGUNNA for making the gayest song of the year so far.

    3. Pushing Penises.. certified gay maybe… can’t believe crap like this gets a pass but raw lyricism and skilled are ignored.smh
