GloRilla seems to have hopped on the country train as she has now shared her thoughts on one of the genre’s most famous fictional characters.
On Sunday (March 31), the Memphis native shared a succinct tweet about the central figure of Dolly Parton’s 1973 hit “Jolene,” which Beyoncé notably covered on her latest album Cowboy Carter.

“I woulda shot Jolene,” the 24-year-old joked about the song, which was written from the perspective of a woman who is insecure about someone more beautiful than her stealing her husband.

Parton recently shared her love and appreciation for Beyoncé after she became the first Black woman to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart with “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
“I’m a big fan of Beyoncé and very excited that she’s done a country album,” Parton wrote on social media. “So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single. Can’t wait to hear the full album. Love, Dolly Parton.”

Likewise, Magic Johnson left no doubts about where he stands in terms of his favorites in music, singling out Bey as his pick for the greatest entertainer ever among women.
In late March, soon after the release of Cowboy Carter, the NBA legend shared a photograph he took with Queen B a few years back along with a heartfelt note about her excellence and legacy.
“Beyoncé — It’s only fitting that I recognize a living icon as the world tunes in to listen to your newest album, ‘Cowboy Carter,’ which just dropped today!” he wrote.
