GloRilla has shown she’s just like the rest of us as she channels her inner Beyoncé in response to fans who encouraged her to work on her stage presence — more importantly, her sex appeal.

On Sunday (July 9), GloRilla (real name Gloria Hallelujah Woods) took to Instagram where she explained she “love constructive criticism” — much of which she received after her performance at the 2023 BET Awards.

“Ya’ll hungry? Because I want to show ya’ll something. Ya’ll told me I need to work on my sex appeal. Ya’ll said I ain’t got none. Ya’ll said I need to be more feminine. So, here goes nothing. Last month, the Memphis rapper, who was nominated for Best New Artist, Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Album of the Year (Anyways, Life’s Great…), Video of the Year (“Tomorrow 2”), and Best Collaboration (“Tomorrow 2,” “F.N.F.”) — hit the stage at the annual awards show, where she performed “Lick or Sum.”

The performance received an array of criticism from fans who felt the act fell flat. However, when Glo got wind of the commentary, she was quick to defend herself during an Instagram live session, where she explained the goal was to be sexy and that she didn’t need to “dance like Chief Keef” in order to achieve that.

She added: “I actually like going through shit sometimes because it makes me perfect my craft.”
