Huntsville, Alabama Hip Hop duo G-Side has announced that their fifth studio album will release on November 11, 2011. Yung Clova and ST 2 Lettaz self-released The One…Cohesive on January 1 of this year. Their upcoming album will repeatedly feature Johnny Spanish, with production by longtime affiliates, the Alabama-based Block Beattaz and according to management, hopefully Seattle, Washington duo Blue Sky Black Death, who was formerly signed to Babygrande Records.
“It is a statement that we have done all of this up until this point on our own terms. We might as well stay on this island.” “We basically want to build off the Cohesive energy and turn it up a notch. We haven’t done the conventional southern Rap, instead we build off that rebellious spirit of the ’90s southern push and rebel sonically going into 2012. Island is going to be just that. It’s looking to be about 12-13 tracks. For those that know about us they know what to expect. For those that don’t know about us we have a great back catalogue to get familiar with – a sonic rebellion of sorts.”
