Future Flexes On JAY-Z: ‘In The Streets I’m Bigger Than Jigga … 100Ms Not The Goal No More’

JAY-Z’s life reads like a movie. Born into poverty, he started selling crack in Brooklyn’s Marcy Houses projects during which time he survived three shootings. As Hip Hop blossomed all around him, he found himself rapping alongside his mentor Jaz-O and eventually Big Daddy Kane.

After establishing Roc-A-Fella Records with Kareem “Biggs” Burke and Damon Dash, JAY-Z steadily evolved into Hip Hop’s first billionaire, putting in buckets of blood, sweat and tears along the way.

Now married to pop superstar Beyoncé and a father to their three children, JAY-Z is all about family and his business portfolio, which seems to expand by the day. But apparently, Future felt like flexing on Hov over the weekend, tweeting a series a boastful posts that quickly sparked a debate.

“I’m the only one can get YE to pull up whenever wherever…tuh,” he wrote, referring to Kanye West’s surprise appearance during his Rolling Loud California set. “Everything I do is legendary or it won’t get done..tuh.”

Future then added, “In the streets I’m bigger then jigga. Ima run me a B up easy,” referring to JAY-Z’s billionaire status. “100Ms not the goal anymore. What’s on your Xmas list?? Mines getting everything they want…Ima save the rest for 2022. LOVE.”

The backlash was swift, with many wondering what Future was smoking to make such “ridiculous” statements. As Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Damon Lloyd said, “Y’all on herr saying Future catalog better than Jay-Z’s? Yea I’m off for the day.”

Another tweet read simply, “JAY-Z= BOSS. FUTURE=WHO?” and included a video clip of someone rapping a JAY-Z song word-for-word with the caption, “In honor of y’all losing y’all minds and saying Future is better than JAY-Z.”

But others found Future’s statements perfectly acceptable, with one fan saying, “This is true, but Jay-Z is a better artist. I’m not even a Jay-Z or Future fan, but objectively speaking Future is indeed bigger in the streets.”

JAY-Z was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by comedian Dave Chappelle in October and is also the first rapper to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The 52-year-old multi-hyphenate has sold over 125 million records worldwide, won 23 Grammy Awards and holds the record for the most No. 1 albums by a solo artist on the Billboard 200 chart — and that’s just a tiny sliver of his accomplishments.

Meanwhile, Future rose to notoriety in the 2010s with albums such as 2012’s Pluto and 2014’s Honest. Subsequent albums DS2, What a Time to Be Alive with Drake, Evol, Future, Hndrxx, The Wizrd and High Off Life debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 upon their release. All of them are gold, platinum or 2x-platinum-certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

In 2019, Future won his first Grammy Award in the Best Rap Performance category for the single “King’s Dead” featuring Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar and James Blake. JAY-Z and Future collaborated on the 2018 DJ Khaled single “Top Off” and he contributed production work to “Drunk In Love” by Beyoncé.

    1. anybody can hack anybody’s Twitter and put up whatever – someone could have stolen his phone and tweeted it or hacked his password on a studio laptop

      1. You really believe that happened to this junkie? The same dude whos riddled with STD’s stays drugged up 24/7? This is exactly like some bs he would come out with….stop ya trollin son

        1. nice to see frauds out here making fake corrections to posts – hopefully everyone shoots everyone else and there’s no rap left to write about tomorrow

    2. Anybody can say they bigger in the streets because some stupid hoodrats and lowlifes listen to they shit, that doesn’t mean you ain’t a wack rapper tho, you just have a gimmick and that’s what sells to a lot of todays retarded listeners

    3. Dude is one of the biggest snakes ever. He dont raise his kids and living proof that no matter how much money you got your can still be trash.

    4. Hov finna give us a whole album just cuz of this stunt future pulled. Back to the Future leak by Swiss in like a month to promote the album

    5. Bigger in the streets is such a lame crown. Gucci said it about Em but what does it matter if in a ghetto people are listening to you more? Must not mean much since the objective is to make money and none of these guys touch Jay, Em or Nas in net worth. They’ll be the ones rapping how people hate because they became rich and famous then turn right around and say something salty against a guy like Jay. All of you are moving with security whether it’s paid professionals or paid encourages of guys willing to go to jail. None of these guys are a one man army. Ask Young Dolph how being I’m the streets, still in your old hood works out for you

    6. What does all of this matter we all die in the end and you can’t take it with you no matter how much money you got and no matter what you have done you just better enjoy your time while you can because you’re going to die in the end.

    7. The way his baby’s mama talk. He don’t see his kids, let alone buy them anything. He don’t want to pay child support. And he not a role model the way Jay Z is. He will stay in court for not paying child support. Saying you got YE to show up not saying much. Dude a fool. Plain and simple.

    8. what streets though? Did he do a survey of every street in a America? Sure, you’re probably bigger where you’re from, like Jay is bigger in Brooklyn. But Jay is also likely bigger in damn near every other street outside Future’s childhood address.
