Funk Flex has continued his weekly streak of challenging artists to drop new music and his latest target is Pusha T

While Pusha delivered his It’s Almost Dry album six months ago, Flex still wants more production from the Virginia-bred rhymer, and Swizz Beatz seemed to put the idea in the Hot 97 DJ’s ear.

“Swizz Beatz told me that I need to challenge Pusha T to get me a song by next Thursday,” Funk Flex stated on his radio show on Thursday night (October 27) while several signature bomb noises went off in the background. “Pusha T, are you up for the challenge? Let’s make something current and cover a lot of discussions.”

King Push is yet to officially respond to the challenge so it remains to be seen if the G.O.O.D. Music spitter will accept.

The DAYTONA rapper isn’t the first rhymer to feel the wrath of Funk Flex as he’s called out the likes of Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, Swizz Beatz with the late DMX, LL COOL J, Fabolous and plenty more this year.

Pusha T should have some time to answer Flex after he wraps up the second leg of his North American It’s Almost Dry Tour this weekend.

The three shows remaining include stops in Providence, Boston and Connecticut. He’ll then close out the year with a run of European dates where Push is set to invade Milan, Paris, Amsterdam, Dublin, Zurich and more.

Even while Push has spent over two decades navigating the music industry, the 45-year-old remains inspired to show that his skillset can exist in the modern streaming era of rap music.

“We are trying to show that our era of music is the era that does not have to age out,” he told Rolling Stone earlier in October. “We can make this greatness forever. This never has to stop.”

It’s Almost Dry debuted at No. 1 atop the Billboard 200 with 55,000 total album-equivalent units sold in the first week.
