Freddie Gibbs Rekindles Benny The Butcher Beef On New Song ‘The Big 2’

Freddie Gibbs has resumed taking shots at Benny The Butcher on his new song “The Big 2.”

Gibbs, who has had beef with former collaborator Benny since 2022 which resulted in a well-documented physical altercation, aims thinly-veiled jabs at the Griselda rapper for hooking up with his ex-girlfriend.

“I seen my ex ho with the opps, I never get into drama / They both got crackhead mommas, they got some shit in common,” he raps.

Benny was photographed hanging out with Gibbs’ former partner, porn star Destini Creams, shortly after she gave birth to the rapper’s child in 2023.

Gangsta Gibbs continues jabbing The Butcher over his health issues and 2020 shooting, spitting: “N-gga you was born an addict, pussy n-gga asthmatic / Don’t fuck with The Rabbit, the day you die, bitch, I’ma hashtag it / Nigga pissed on himself when he got shot.”

The Gary, Indiana native also appears to mock the commercial performance of Benny’s Def Jam debut Everybody Can’t Go: “My naked ass got more promo than your album / Man, this really ain’t no challenge.”

Elsewhere on “The Big 2,” Freddie Gibbs references the so-called “Big Three” debate involving Kendrick Lamar, Drake and J. Cole.

“All this talk about these threes and who’s the biggest / I got Fours and Lords cliqued up with GDs like a coalition / Never cared about no rapper status, I stayed in position / But these bars will leave some scars across your heart, boy, I’m something different,” he brags.

Gibbs has been choosing to fight a lot of battles recently, including throwing shade at Cole for backing out of his brief rivalry with Kendrick.

After the Dreamville rapper dropped “cLOUDs”, Gibbs wrote on his Instagram Stories: “N-ggaz be rapping about how they kill rappers and kill they careers and blah blah blah but he backing outta rap beefs.”

He also publicly accused Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR of stealing from him with their collaborative album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U.

The title of the project bears a resemblance to that of Gibbs’ 2022 album $oul $old $eparately, while its back cover features cartoon bunnies, similar to the “Big Rabbit” mascot that Gibbs has adopted for years.

The Bandana MC would later aim another dig at Drizzy, posting several yawning emojis underneath a screenshot of the 6 God’s ominous warning about his “next chapter.”

“U know I grew up non confrontational and always treated this game as a sport where my pen won gold, but my these days the podium has been hard for all of us to ignore,” Drake wrote in the post.

“I understand that this next chapter may leave you feeling uneasy, but I hope you see my honesty as clarity not charity that answers some questions especially about the unanswered texts you’ve been sending me.”
