Fivio Foreign hasn’t always been the best when it comes to linguistics, and now he’s been clowned for misinterpreting what he thought was a name-drop on Nicki Minaj’s new album Pink Friday 2.

The Brooklyn drill rapper posted a TikTok earlier this week showing him happily dancing to Nicki’s “Everybody,” which features Lil Uzi Vert.

Only Fivio misinterpreted the “body” lyric in the chorus — which samples Junior Senior’s 2002 hit “Move Your Feet” — as his nickname “Fivi.”

“When Nicki say ‘Fivi’ in her new song,” he captioned the clip. “S/O my demon Nicki Minaj.”

Many fans found Fivio Foreign’s gaffe hilarious and poked fun at him in the comments section, with some comparing it to when reality TV star Natalie Nunn believed that Cardi B name-dropped her on “Bongos” earlier this year.

“This is going to be another Natalie nunn situation huh,” one person wrote. Another suggested that Fivio is delusional by writing: “I wanna be this delulu.”

“This n-gga is meek mill 2.0,” someone else said.

Even fellow artist Rubi Rose poked fun at the mishap by tweeting: “He just like me,” referencing her own blunder when she mistakenly thought Drake shouted her out on his 2021 track “7am on Bridle Path” (“See the watch collection and assume I got time/ ‘Cause of the ruby rose two-tone”).

While Fivio Foreign didn’t get a shout-out or guest appearance on Pink Friday 2, he and Nicki Minaj have worked together in the past as they teamed up for “We Go Up” in 2022.

As for “Everybody,” Nicki revealed that she penned the track in five minutes and it almost didn’t make the album as it was originally slated for Call of Duty, whom she partnered with earlier this year.

“This is mad funny b/c that was the song I wrote in 5 mins one day for ‘Call Of Duty,'” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“Once I kept it for my album, I still didn’t even rlly know if it made sense on PF2. I didn’t wanna send it to Uzi b/c I thought he’d be over it. Instead he was like this hard af! Uzicito.”
