Famous Dex has reportedly signed a massive new deal with 300 Entertainment worth around $5.6 million, though more details weren’t immediately available.

Dex flexed the alleged deal on Instagram, sharing a colorful photo of him lounging in the 300 Entertainment lobby reading a magazine.

“5.6m new deal today God is amazing,” Dexter wrote.

Famous Dex’s new deal comes as he plans a career rebound in the wake of his newfound sobriety. He celebrated five months of sobriety in June, which came after he underwent two stints in rehab for reported opiate addiction. Dex’s rehab came after fans expressed distress at a series of videos on Instagram that seemed to show the Chicago rapper high and nodding off. He initially denied any reported drug addiction, telling his concerned fans to calm down.

“Hey fam, I really don’t need you to be saying shit like this, bro,” he said in a response one video. “Let me tell you something, I want to address this to everybody that’s listening to me. Stop worrying the next muthafucka that’s doing drugs [inaudible]. The world on drugs, you know what I’m sayin’? I used to love doing whatever.

In June 2021, Dex was also arrested in connection to an October 2020 domestic violence charge. Similar to many of his recent arrests, he was slapped with multiple charges, including corporal injury domestic violence, threatening a domestic partner, exhibiting a firearm, inflicting bodily injury, dissuading a victim from reporting a crime, defacing property and illegal possession of a firearm.
