Erykah Badu is known for her skillful singing abilities. The Universal Motown veteran R&B/Soul singer has been publicly performing as a deejay. Throughout her career, Badu has worked with respected deejay/producers, such as 9th Wonder, Madlib and others.
It was announced on Friday that Erykah Badu, who spins under the alias of DJ Loretta Brown, has been added to the respected deejay collective, The Core DJs. In a statement posted at AllHipHop.com, Badu accepted the induction proudly. “I am honored and do not take it for granted. B-girl for life. Head wrapped and strapped.”
Throughout the years, The Core DJs have included DJ Irie, DJ EFN and Sir Charles Mixin’ Dixon, among others.
