Erick Sermon has recalled his ex-girlfriend Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes once threatening to dump him for another rapper: 2Pac.

In an interview with Too $hort hosted by the Rock The Bells Cruise, the EPMD legend spoke about the time he almost lost his lady to the “California Love” hitmaker.

“She gave me an ultimatum and I was laughing my ass off because I only had a thousand dollars on the American Express card,” he said. “She said, ‘Erick. Okay, now. When I go to the awards show and 2Pac hollers at me and he wants me, I gotta leave you.'”

Sermon, however, was more worried about losing a place to sleep, adding: “I ain’t have a place to go, I was worried about the room!”

In a 2015 interview with ThisIs50, Erick Sermon spoke about his relationship with Left Eye, who died in a car accident in 2002, and the love triangle with 2Pac.

“She used to be crazy in love with him [2Pac]. Lisa was one of the realest chicks I ever met in my life. She did what she wanted to do and everything. She was really real. She’d let you know what time it was, period,” he said.

In the Lifetime docuseries Hopelessly in Love, which explored Left Eye’s intense relationship with then-NFL star Andre Rison, the singer’s friend also shed light on her bond with ‘Pac.

“I think Andre knew how Lisa felt about ‘Pac, and I think Andre knew that was his competition,” Trena Smith said. “They had a strong connection, they knew what each other were thinking, they could finish each other’s sentences.”

2Pac had a history of stealing other men’s girlfriends — according to will.i.am, at least.

Last year, the Black Eyed Peas frontman revealed that ‘Pac once stole his groupmate Apl.de.Ap’s girl right in front of him at a restaurant.

“I never had an interaction with 2Pac, but Apl.de.Ap in the Black Eyed Peas, he had this girlfriend. I don’t wanna name her name or put her on blast, and they were eating at freaking Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles,” he told DJ Wooh Kid.

“She was hot, bro. She was a beautiful Puerto Rican young girl, when we were kids. 2Pac did like this [beckoning gesture] and then she was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’ll be right back.’ 30 minutes later, [Apl’s] chicken waffles got all cold, freaking syrup got all freaking stiff, butter got freaking liquidy.

“And he was like, ‘She ain’t coming back…’ That’s his classic 2Pac [story].”
