Enchanting was signed to Gucci’s imprint in 2020. According to The Daily Mail, she was still signed to 1017 as recently as early 2024, though the most recent project she released on the label was a deluxe version of her 2022 album No Luv titled Love Scarred/ No Luv (Deluxe), which dropped in February, 2023.

The rapper’s sister said early on Tuesday (June 11) that Enchanting was in the intensive care unit, before later confirming she’d passed.

The Shade Room, citing the rapper’s team, attributed the rapper’s death to “a reported overdose” after a member of her management team allegedly told the platform that Enchanting was suffering from withdrawals.

“She came to my house the last four days to get clean. She tried her best and I did everything I could to help her, she tried,” the rep said.

Upon hearing the news, Gucci took to his Instagram to share his grief, writing, “So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant @luvenchanting”

In the comments of Gucci Mane’s posts, many critics seemed to blame him for her passing, as they mentioned the poor track record of many of his 1017 signees. And though his wife, Keyshia Ka’Oir, previously called him out for that very issue, she came to her man’s defense in the comments.
