Eminem Wins American Music Awards, Favorite Rap/R&B Male Artist & Album

    Detroit, Michigan Hip Hop superstar Eminem took home two American Music Awards, taped yesterday at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater, and airing on the ABC network. The Aftermath/Shady/Interscope Records artist won for “Best Male Artist” in the Rap/R&B category.

    Additionally, Eminem’s summer album, Recovery, won for “Best Album” in the Rap/R&B category. The album, featuring production from Just Blaze, Boi-1da and Havoc, may see triple platinum status by year’s end. Eminem was not in attendance to receive his awards.

    Eminem’s labelmates, Hip Hop-turned-Pop stars The Black Eyed Peas also won “Favorite Pop/Rock Band” award. Their album, The Beginning, will release next week.

    Diddy and Dirty Money performed at the awards.

      Dude probably has an entire room dedicated to trophies and wall plaques, lol

    2. For an album winning so many awards I haven’t listened to it in months. Most classic albums like GRODT, MMLP, BluePrint, and others stay on deck for years.

      Recovery is not that hot.

      1. GRODT is the definition of an album that got old quick, I listened to that thing for a month and sold it to sound exchange, lol
