Eminem [click to read] and 50 Cent [click to read] are two of the most popular names in music today. They also happen to be label mates. Now, talks have started to swirl around a summer tour featuring the duo. This time, the renewed Anger Management Tour may feature G-Unit and Em on the bill. Lloyd Banks has even heard these conversations.
“I’m in and out the office, and there’s conversations,”;he said in an interview with MTV News.”I’m just as excited as the fans are. The first Anger Management Tour, I wasn’t a part of.” [click here]
Eminem has been promoting his new album and has repeatedly said that he has not finalized any plans for a tour as of yet.
However, he has got a new deejay, The Alchemist, and he says he gets excited for their show, especially when they perform “Underground.”
“When I first heard [Relapse], that was the song I said, ‘This is gonna shut mutherfuckers up.’ Straight up. It would not be an issue. Nobody would be like, ‘I didn’t like this, I didn’t like the flow.’ … When we perform that song, Em takes a spot on the stage, and that’s it. He picks a spot and dumbs out. There’s not a lot of moving,” he told MTV.“When we’re rehear[s]ing the song, you know, ‘This is gonna be something crazy.’ He says, ‘Turn the lights down,’ they put the spotlight on Em, and it’s just snap rap. In the current day and age, you don’t hear songs like that. It doesn’t seem like any of that other sh– going on in the world or in the music industry was going on in his mind when he [made the song]. He was strictly into the craft. I don’t think anybody is fucking with that.”
In related news, Marshall Mathers has reached out to Nick Cannon on Tim Westwood’s radio show after Cannon’s recent blog [click here] about his problems with Eminem.
“There’s a line on there that was a little harsh. It’s a harsh line. … But it’s like this, the way I look at it: I had no idea he was gonna take it like he took it. I had no idea Nick Cannon was gonna start wildin’ out on me. No pun intended.”
“I heard about some of the things he was saying. I didn’t read his blog or anything. But it is what it is. He’s supposed to defend his wife, and I expected him to do that. But at the end of the day, it’s a line I said; it’s a song. What I actually meant to say is, I wish them the best. That’s what I meant to say. That’s the whole message of the record,” he added.
He went on to say that he hopes it doesn’t escalate to a battle between the two.
Relapse is out now.
