Eminem announced today (March 4) that he is planning to re-release The Slim Shady LP in cassette format.
The Detroit rapper made the announcement on Twitter and shared a link where people can sign up for more information.
“#SSLP Cassette re-issue coming soon http://shady.sr/SSLP” Eminem writes for the caption of an image of a tape.
The website offers for people to sign up for a newsletter and says that there will also be merchandise based on The Slim Shady LP available.
The Slim Shady LP was first released in 1999 on Aftermath Entertainment through Interscope Records. It features the songs “My Name Is,” “Just Don’t Give A Fuck” and “Guilty Conscience.”

I’m all for re issues/ remastered/ new content to due the release justice on a proper medium; it’s this resurgence of the Cassette. It’s really inferior especially at the time. I guess as a novelty item it could exist. I just don’t get the step backward in technology.

Honestly I thougth encore was his weakest album and I don’t think that album is very bad.relapse was slept on but I enjoyed it.Marshall mathers lp 2 and recovery was solid projects to me.but my favorite is Marshall mathers first one.your opinion make a lot of sense I can understand why you don’t like his last 2 projects
i really how eminem is doing this ‘roots’ album thats been rumoured. i klike the funny eminem but i been steadily waiting for that 1 ‘normal’ eminem hiphop album i can never seem to get.. TES is the closest we get.. i hope eminem leaves the gimmicky eminem where it belongs, later 90s/early00s
