Eminem & Shady Records Donate $10,000 To Sean Price Family

Eminem’s Shady Records donated $10,000 to Duck Down’s fundraiser for Sean Price‘s family Wednesday (August 12), Mike Trampe reports.

The label created a CrowdRise page in the wake of Price’s death and has $86,000 raised to date. The rapper died in his sleep August 8. He is survived by his wife and three children.

Paul Rosenberg, Eminem’s manager, responded to Price’s death via AllHipHop.

“I swear I just told Marshall (Eminem) on Thursday that Sean was my current favorite,” Rosenberg says. “I hung on every word in his verses.”

    1. Nice gesture by Eminem. Its 10,000 more than what i gave. I’ll save my personal opinion about Eminem for a Eminem rap article.

      1. Lol how did you make this article so much about you? That might’ve one of the most self absorbed comments I’ve read. Smh new fans are weirdos b.

        RIP Sean Price

      2. I thought that this comment was actually kind of classy. He/she is obviously not an Eminem fan–and I am–and I appreciate that they focused on the good deed.

    2. Money can certainly help Sean Price’s family to handle his final wishes in regards to his passing. Perhaps Marshall’s example won’t go unnoticed and more people with the means to help may step up and do something to ease his family’s suffering by taking the burden of money out of their minds in this difficult time. Thank you for showing your respects with generosity, that is a very kind gesture and reveals much about true character. I’m sure his family will put all of your donations to good use by helping Mr. Price rest peacefully. Healing on the other hand, will only come in time. My heart is with you Sean. You will be missed and loved.

    3. sean price once said “my battle raps are so spectacular/ that marshall mathers be wishin’ that i move back to africa/”

followed by basically saying he was kidding. lol. this is good news, though. i know most mainstream rappers are mostly oblivious to the underground, but Em came from it so I often wonder what if any underground dudes he stays up on. i guess this is a sign that he follows Duck Down, maybe.

      1. Eminem was actually close to signing to Duck Down before he signed to Aftermath. He had a song called “Any Man” produced by the Beatminerz which dropped sometime before Slim Shady LP. Dru Ha talked about it in a few interviews. And Eminem made “Don’t Front” with Buckshot, which itself is a remake of Black Moon’s “I Got Cha Opin”. He definitely follows Duck Down.
