Em and Dre to Cover Vibe, Producer Wants Em on ABC’s “Detroit 1-8-7”

Vibe has enlisted Eminem and Dr. Dre to grace the second cover of their upcoming fifteenth anniversary Juice issue. The magazine debuted the other cover to the issue, featuring Diddy, Rick Ross and Janelle Monae, among others. The magazine also caught up with Em and discussed a number of topics, including the thought of his own death.

“I try not to think about [my own death] but I do and it creeps me the fuck out,” he said. “It creeps me out because they say that if I got to the hospital two hours later then I would be gone. I think about that a lot. When I lay in bed at night is when I think about it the most. It creeps me out man.”

The full cover and a larger portion of the interview can be found here

In related news, Jason Richman, the executive producer of ABC’s upcoming cop drama “Detroit 1-8-7,” is courting the Motor City rapper for a guest appearance. He says he has been in talks with Em and his people about having him not only appear on the show, but also contributing some music to the show.

“He’s a great actor, and he’d a good representative for the city,” Richman said. “I’d love for him to be involved in any way possible.”

      1. Dude realy that was the only thing you could think of posting? I mean yeah Em #1 fan is gay…… But we already know that lol.

      2. Hater why you hatin? Why you hatin on me? Cause I like Eminem? Dude he’s only a rapper the greatest btw and you call me gay?

You gay for thinking I’m gay. I never said shit about being gay I just said Em is the God MC which is true

    1. The King of rap= Dre
      the God of rap= Eminem

I mean doesn’t Em just look heavenly on that cover? It’s like you know he’s 100000X better then every rapper ever put together and he doesn’t care. He’s just going to continue being the greatest. Isn’t that just amazing?

Go buy that certified classic “Recovery” the only good rap album of 2010. Hell don’t even listen to rap anymore not even those bums Nash, KRS-One or whatever washed up nobody everyone pretends made an impact or rappers. Just listen to Emienm

      1. I hope you’re kidding about some of your words, but seriously, Recovery is not classic. The shit sounds like progressive rock with shock lyrics

      2. LOL @ the first paragraph. What’s so “heavenly” about Eminem on the cover? He’s just standing there looking at musical notes. Em is one of my favorites but to say he’s 1000000xs better than all rappers combined is a little far-fetched, don’t you think?

And also LOL at Dre being the king of rap. Here’s a little fun fact for you: Dre has ghostwriters. You can’t be king of rap if you have ghostwriters. Everyone knows that!

    2. Em fan #1….its nice to see u have a strong opinion about hip hop…but i’m sorry, i dont think any real hip hop heads are gonna whole-heartedly agree w/ you on that one…em is good, but there are things other emcees can do better than him…just as he has his own strong points…em’s subject matter can be lacking, hell even his lyrics (although i’ll admit its rare) are a little rough sometimes( his verse on forever for example, he went hard as hell which was nice, but a lot of those lines were just plain junk)…or the funny voice/accent thing, or rapping for pure shock value and not much else (most of relapse), or even using similar formulas for A LOT of his singles (think of just about every 1st single em has had besides “not afraid”….similar comedic tactics always (not necessarily bad songs, but same old formulas to get peoples attention..ex: my name is, the real slim shady, without me, my band, just lose it etc…all aiming for the same “nerve”…and just lose it is a terrible song by the way…)…i mean, honestly…its a matter of opinion who is the BEST, because if you break it down, no one emcee is the best at everything….and for the record i’m a longtimefan of Eminem and am still currently slammin that recovery album, but crowning just ONE emcee the BEST, thats just plain ridiculous…and debatable at best…i own a lot of hip hop albums, and em cant replace classic nas, jay, redman, budden, kanye, talib, mos def, the roots, meth, dre, snoop or even the truly old school classics from Eric B and Rakim, Pete Rock and Cl Smooth and MANY others…just as they cant replace classic Eminem material…its ART, its all relativity…just as one painter cannot replace another, same goes for music…not to mention, a lot of folks wont even break it down politely like i just did, they will just call u a stan or a hater and disregard any good points you may have in your argument, therefore losing them to the bullshit forever because THEY LIKE WHAT THEY LIKE and you cant technically prove them wrong about it…in summary, i respectfully disagree w/ your Eminem comment and am trying to warn you that you are just fostering ignorance when you drop bold-ass comments like that without backing it up…you come across like you’re 14 years old or something…and miss me with the “white rapper” shit cuz i’m half black and half white and could give a fuck what color Em is….Em is dope..God Emcee??? not so much…and thats the nickname for Rakim anyways…do your homework son…

      1. lol…ur absolutely right…but i just so happen to be a writer…and its really not that hard to type about something that interests me…like hip hop….but u are definitely right, dude doesn’t deserve the time i guess….but i just cant stoop to his level of idiocy, i cant help it…

    3. IM A FAN OF EM AND LOT OF OTHER RAPPERS BUT I HATE THESE NO LIFE DICK RYDING STANS ON EVERY RAP SITE THAT POST STUPID SHIT EVERY DAY,EVERY HOUR, LIKE ARE YOU MAKING ANY MONEY OF EMINEM IS HE PAYING TO BE THAT RETARDED, PLEASE GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE WITH THAT CHILDISH SHIT, FIND A JOB AND STOP BEING A SORE FUCKING LOSER THAT YOU ARE .

    4. Damn Em #1 fan you sound like you only like em and no one else… I mean realy I don’t like every rapper in the world but Jesus christ!!! Why do you even come on here? To school people on why you think Em is jehovah jireh. Or why you like suckin his 2inch white cock you fag!! I think I get it now you have mental problems… You were scull fucked as a kid and lost all memories of who you were. Then you look at some rap mag see a pic of Em and thought he must be my daddy. Now 10 years later he not just your dadda he’s your lover and you’ll do anything to to have him rape you while you run round naked out side high on your own supp.
You prob on the white boy drug meth. Yeah that’s this explains it all……

    5. Listen up, there are 2 things that I crave on a daily basis, ok? Eminem’s music and rhynocerus butthole….that’s it. So, get off my back.

    6. Eminem Is alright, there are alot of better MCs that dont top charts that have shows all the time and will eat more than most of us says:
