DX News Bits: “The Studio,” Wyclef Jean

“The Studio,” located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has started a new affordable workshop for aspiring artists, engineers, and recording professionals.

Individuals can sign up for four different workshops in which they will learn from professionals about how to put together a well-polished record, as well as network with top engineers from the Pennsylvania area. Owned by prominent music producer/arranger Larry Gold, “The Studio” features two different recording studios. Created in 1996, it has been the birthplace for records by artists such as Kanye West, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, and The Roots.

Individual workshops are priced at $250. Email workshops@seekupgroup.com for more information.

    1. I’m glad to hear such an individual is getting recognized for the true humanitarian and conscious building efforts he’s done. Wyclef is very influential worldwide, even if he is not as mainstream as other aritists. His music is real and you can feel it. And he is using his fame to uplift his people and shine the spot light to issues that normally are not talked about.

Mexicans are also a fan of this great man and what he stands for. I stand united in his efforts and appreciate that an elite school such as Harvard is recognizing him.

It has to be said that even though he is being recognized for his recent work with Haiti, Wyclef has been doing this! The Haiti tragedy just put a spot light on the work he’s already been doing for over a decade now.

I commend Harvard for their recognition and applaud Wyclef. He deserves it. And to all the haters that were hating on him a few months ago with bolonie accusations, eat a phat carrot dipped in habanero chile sauce!
