DX News Bits: Saigon, Tech N9ne

    New York rapper Saigon [click to read] recently had some choice words about the physical altercation that occurred between Raekwon’s [click to read] crew and Joe Budden [click to read] last month [click to read].

    In an interview with Ms. Drama, Saigon said he felt his lyrical battle with Budden earlier this year was a warning sign of things to come. “I was the first domino that did this to him,” he stated.

    Continuing, Saigon said, “I was mad that he didn’t fight back. After talking about me when I went out like a hero…Nigga, it was six people. I think I could beat six people, or at least have a fair [one]…aww man.”

    In terms of the Rap collective that is Slaughterhouse [click to read], Saigon gave props to the group for showing lyrical prowess on their album [click to read], but he also felt their concentration on just words was a costly mistake. “I think they can rap, I just don’t think these mother fuckers can make records. I don’t think there’s one song on there that we’ll be singing two years from now.” Saigon’s Warning Shots 2 is scheduled for release September 29.

    In other news, Tech N9ne [click to read] is planning to hit the road this fall in preparation for his latest album, K.O.D, due out October 27.

    Taking his Strange Music crew with him (Krizz Kaliko [click to read], Cutt Calhoun, Big Scoob) for the 42-date schedule, Tech N9ne will also share the stage with Slaughterhouse and Glasses Malone.

    The tour will begin October 1 in Omaha, Nebraska, and make its way throughout the country until the last stop November 21 in Independence, Missouri.
