Drake has received a response from Wiley after posting an old freestyle from Skepta in which he disses his former Boy Better Know cohort.
Over the weekend, Drizzy posted a snippet on his Instagram Stories of a GRM Daily freestyle in which Skepta takes aim at Wiley by rapping: “How can you be a king when you roll through anywhere?/ Wiley, you don’t roll through anywhere/ I go anywhere, fam, I’m never scared/ You said you rep E3 but you never there/ So lemme murk this guy/ It’s all in your name, fam, I don’t need to try/ I take away the W, I take away the Y/ Fix up the other letters, all you do is just lie.”

As expected, Wiley responded — but not in the way most people thought.
The controversial grime legend wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “I’m not gonna lie I actually think Drake is a cold rapper.”

He also posted a video of himself bobbing his head while listening to Drake’s Scary Hours 3 song “Red Button,” and defended the Toronto superstar against claims that he doesn’t write his own lyrics.
In response to a user who suggested that Drake “didn’t choose his video by accident,” he replied: “Oh ok well either way we haffi big up the man like Drizzy Marley everytime Yanam Zayin.”
Many fans expected Wiley to hit back at Drake given his track record of intense beefs with the likes of Stormzy and Dizzee Rascal.
One fan wrote: “This incoming Wiley rant at drake is gonna be hilarious,” while another said: “You JUST KNOW Wiley is gonna make a 7track mixtape against Drake in the next 2 days.”
Skepta and Wiley’s beef originates from the former collaborating with Dizzee Rascal in 2018. Dizzee had long blamed Wiley for his stabbing in Ayia Napa in 2003, the same week his debut album Boy In Da Corner was released.
In recent years, Wiley has addressed the incident that saw Dizzee stabbed six times, saying: “We’re not gonna be friends anymore because he holds me responsible for being stabbed. And I take responsibility — I didn’t stab him — I take responsibility because he was with me but after 14 years I would have thought you would have realized I didn’t stab you.”

Wiley later added through a spokesperson: “Wiley isn’t responsible but feels guilt over his part in the incidents that led to Dizzee’s stabbing, and secondly he’s made it clear for many years now that he does not wish to be enemies with Dizzee — but if Dizzee doesn’t want to speak to him then so be it.”
It has been alleged that after an argument in Cyprus with a separate group, they later came looking for Wiley but found Dizzee instead.
