Drake postponed the first of two shows in Vancouver last minute due to “unforeseen circumstances,” leaving fans who showed up for the concert extremely disappointed.
“We want to make this as easy for you as possible,” a Rogers Arena staff member told those who had already lined up for the performance on Monday (August 28). “Unfortunately, the concert this evening has been postponed … It’s out of our control.”

After disgruntled reactions from the crowd simmered down, she proceeded: “You and your wristbands will be honored on Wednesday [August 30].”
One of the fans present during the announcement even said: “This my 13th reason.” The comment was a reference to the show, 13 Reasons Why, which is about a young girl who goes lists all the reasons that prompted her to take her own life.

Several people online have started listing the postponed-show tickets for sale, most likely because they won’t be able to make it to the new date.
The concert was cancelled just hours before gates were set to open, that too without any specific reason beyond issues with “the newly installed scoreboard” at the arena. As a result, fans online haven’t been receptive of Drizzy’s last-minute pivot.

In other news, The OVO boss continues to speak on NBA-related matters, recently joining an army of NBA stars in blasting track star Noah Lyles over his criticism of the NBA Finals winners being labeled “World Champions.”
Lyles came under fire over the weekend when he critiqued the NBA and its athletes being dubbed world champs when there are no other countries outside of the U.S. and Canada represented in the North American sports league.
“You know what hurts me the most is that I have to watch the NBA Finals and they have ‘world champion’ on their head,” the 26-year-old track star said at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest. “World champion of what? The United States? Don’t get me wrong, I love the U.S. at times. But that ain’t the world… There ain’t no flags in the NBA.”
The 6 God caught wind of the jarring comments and sniped Lyles in defense of his NBA friends. Drake is also affiliated with the league in an official capacity as an ambassador of the Toronto Raptors.
