Drake To Co-Star In New Al Pacino Film, “Arbitrage”

Hip Hop superstar Drake began his career as a popular television actor on the teen series, Degrassi: The Next Generation. With over a year since his last credited acting role, the Young Money sensation has reportedly signed on to star in Arbitrage, alongside heralded actors Al Pacino, Susan Sarandon and Eva Green.

According to The Wrap, the independent film, written and directed by Nicholas Jarecki, follows a powerful executive attempting to sell a company before it’s discovered he’s guilty of fraud.

Production is set to begin this March in New York City.

    1. great, another sub-par rapper/actor ruining a legends movie. the worst part about the movie Righteous Kill was 50 Cent and Rob Dydrek’s terrible cameos, which were obviously publicity stunts to get younger viewers interested in a Deniro/Pacino film. if your not already interested in a Deniro/Pacion film, GO FUCK YOURSELF. and rappers, just leave the shit to Mos Def, he got you beat both ways.

      1. you guys must be out of your gotdamn fucking minds if you think him being on degrassi is in anyway reflective of acting skills.

it was a teen fucking soap. from fucking canada.

      2. What difference does it make if it’s from canada or the United States? Any teen drama from the US is just as fuckin terrible. Stop being a dumbass. It’s so funny how people were riding drake’s dick until he got signed and put out an album. just stfu and stop hating, go listen to your amazing 90’s rap haters

    2. drake has been acting for years. just because hes a rapper doenst mean he cant act.

get your head out your as and educate yourself.

      1. Drake is better than Tupac as far staying out of trouble with the law: Yes!

        but…

Drake is better than Tupac intellectually and as an actor: Fuck NO!!!

    3. Drake’s Young Money record contract details have been revealed by his managers and they say the rapper will have full ownership of his publishing.

Under the unusually lucrative agreement he struck with Aspire/Young Money/Cash Money Records distributed through Universal, Drake received a $2-million advance. He retains the publishing rights to his songs and cedes only around 25% of his music sales revenues to the label as a ‘distribution fee,’ his managers said. By contrast, the overwhelming majority of new artists sign financially restrictive ‘360 deals’ that sap their touring and merchandise income and offer much more restrictive profit-sharing. 9. Stop hating on my homey Drake. He is an inspiration and motivation for anyone who is struggling with thier profession. This entertainer didn’t graduate from high school in a single parent household and look at what he’s become. If you guys hate on a individual like this then I really do feel pitiful for the brainless haters spouting thier disgusting opinions.

    10. now if you thorwing slugs at drake for getting a part in a movie wit pacina and susan sarandon thats just HATE. theres no way around it. this has nothing to do with music. how u hate on the man for getn a part in a movie with huge movie starts? crazy

    11. I believe Drake going to do good in the movie industry but just not as good in the music industry. Why do people think you need to be hood or ghetto to be a rapper/MC when most normal people are not like that?

    12. Is it just me or does a lot of people hate on Drake just cos he had a good upbringing? I don’t think he’s a great rapper, but I see a lot of people hating cos he’s not from the hood. That’s ridiculous, as long as someone has a passion for rapping they shouldn’t be judged any differently.

      1. They do. I don’t like him cuz he sucks as a rapper. He’s a Weezy clone and hit and miss with his music. At least he’s real with admitting he grew up with some money. I can respect that. He should stick to acting and singing. It suits him better.

      2. it’s hard to respect a Jew introduced to the industry over-night, who steal styles, as appossed to, Mr. West who insist on being fresh.

      3. @Atl2Trill, definitely agree with you there.

@HRH, I dislike Drake’s undeserved arrogance, but it shouldn’t matter whether he’s a Jew, a Muslim, an Athiest or whatever. I don’t like people that have got where they are because the label’s pushed them (as opposed to having REAL talent)
