Drake‘s SiriusXM channel Sound 42 has officially shuttered exactly four years to the day of its launch in 2021.
The channel was part of a 2019 deal that was considered “the largest agreement it and subsidiary Pandora have executed with a major recording artist” at the time. During its operation, Sound 42 played Drizzy-curated playlists and he’d occasionally jump on to host a show and debut new music.

Radio Insight reports the channel is now branded simply as “SiriusXM 42” and is currently playing Hip Hop music.
In other news, Drake appeared to address his various adversaries in a lengthy Instagram message on Monday (March 10) accompanied by various photos, including a screenshot from the Daniel Day-Lewis film Phantom Thread.

He wrote: “U know I grew up non confrontational and always treated this game as a sport where my pen won gold, but my these days the podium has been hard for all of us to ignore.
“I understand that this next chapter may leave you feeling uneasy, but I hope you see my honesty as clarity not charity that answers some questions especially about the unanswered texts you’ve been sending me.”

Freddie Gibbs was less than impressed with the 6 God’s defiant statement, reposting it on his burner Instagram account, @youonlydie0nce, and adding several yawning emojis.
The Gary, Indiana native recently accused Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR of stealing from him with their collaborative album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U.

The dollar sign-laced title of the project bears a resemblance to that of Gibbs’ 2022 album $oul $old $eparately.
Drizzy and PND’s joint LP additionally features cartoon bunnies on its back cover, similar to the “Big Rabbit” mascot that Gibbs has adopted for years.
“Damn they even stole the rabbits too. I’m flattered,” he wrote on X, shortly after Drake and PND unveiled the tracklist for $ome $exy $ongs 4 U last month.
Gangsta Gibbs also retweeted several posts from fans calling out the OVO Sound duo for allegedly stealing from him, making sure his point was felt.

Despite their apparent issues, the two rappers were reportedly supposed to work together on a song for $oul $old $eparately according to veteran DJ and radio personality Bootleg Kev.
“He’s very hip and aware of the wave! I took the only pic of Freddie and Drake that exists too! Some light biting happening for sure,” the DJ wrote on social media.
