Drake may not be the Certified Lover Boy he’s cracked up to be after an apparent attempt at shooting his shot at a fan backfired.
A user on X (formerly Twitter) by the name of @trillary_banks_ posted a screenshot of an alleged DM that the 6 God sent her on Instagram.

In his message, Drake simply wrote: “Was it you I recognized tonight?”
The woman initially seemed thrilled that the Her Loss hitmaker had slid into her DMs, captioning the screenshot: “DRAAAAAAKEE? [crying laughter emoji].”

However, she later revealed that she had no intention of responding, thus leaving Drake on read.
“On my child I’m never accepting or responding to this message lmfao,” she wrote in response to another user who urged her to reply.

Despite receiving some praise for not responding to a seemingly thirsty DM from one of the most famous men on the planet, others were not happy with the woman for sharing the private message in the first place.
Addressing the backlash, she said: “On God them bitches nailing themselves to a cross to protect Drake from my screenshot, all bc they would suck his dick on command for a Birkin. Telling me I talk too much for posting this [three crying laughter emojis] I don’t give a fuck.”

In another post she added: “Are yall saying this cuz you’d drag your clitoris across broken glass for a chance to be in secret contact with a rapper? I post whatever the fuck I want on MY page,it’s not ruining anything with this man because I’m not interested and not responding. Get yo fake discreet ass on.”
While Drake has yet to comment on the authenticity of the message — or the drama surrounding it — this wouldn’t be the first time he’s slid into a fan’s DMs.

Last year, Veronica Correia notably caught Drizzy’s attention after throwing her 36G cup bra on stage during a show on his It’s All a Blur Tour, and even received an opportunity to work with Playboy as a result.
The young lady later revealed that she received a DM response from the 6 God himself after her viral bra toss, and they spoke extensively over the course of a few days.
“Yes he did,” Correia said on the Club Ambition podcast when asked if Drake ever reached out to her. “He slid up on a [Instagram] Story and laughed at one, simply sent a laughing face. And I took a day or two to respond because I just didn’t know what to say.
“So I just liked it, and then I left him for like a day. Then I wrote out this paragraph, basically thanking him for the experience, an awesome show, and then I told him I own the coffee shop in Cumberland and asked if he liked coffee and how he likes it.”

She continued: “So then he responded back that he likes it iced and sweet. I was like, ‘Ok, that’s really broad. I’m trying to make a coffee for you’ … Then he was laughing at all of my messages.
“So I said, ‘Oh, do you think I’m funny?’ And he said, ‘I think you’re really sought-after right now.’”

Correia added that she then asked Drizzy for advice, and he told her: “Just to live your amazing life and people are faceless. They would never really say the negative comments to your face.”
