Drake Lands 100th Billboard Hot 100 Appearance

Drake has landed his one hundredth song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the publication reports.

Eight songs featuring the rapper-singer debut on the current Billboard Hot 100 chart, which is dated October 10. Each of these cuts appear on What a Time to Be Alive, his collaborative project with Future that was released September 20.

Drake has 13 songs on the Hot 100 this week. Drake and The Beatles hold the record for the most songs on the chart at one time with 14. The Beatles achieved the feat in 1964, while Drake matched them in March 2015 on the heels of his If Youre Reading This Its Too Late project.

The 2009 single “Best I Ever Had” was the first Drake song to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Rihanna’s “What’s My Name?,” which features Drake, is the one Drake Billboard Hot 100 song that hit #1. Thirteen of Drake’s other songs have hit the Top 10, including “Hotline Bling,” the #4 song on the chart.

Drake is the fourth artist to have 100 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The others are the Glee cast, which has had 207 songs on the chart; Lil Wayne, with 127; and Elvis Presley, who scored 108 entries.

    1. His ghost writers and writers are getting no shine..lol…now that is common knowledge that you aren’t a real mc give them credit damn..lol…you didn’t do it all by yourself. Q Miller just came on board but drake has had a lot of writers in the past give them some shine drake. At least diddy gives them credit

    2. And just like that, drake has proven to be bigger than the beatles. He’s inspired many cpoycat imitators like kendrick, frank ocean, and chris brown but kendrick makes backpack music instead of dope music, frank likes men instead of women, and chris brown beats women while drake loves them. Drake winning big.

      1. No, Aubrey’s not bigger than the Beatles and he never will be. He hasn’t even accomplished half of what they did. He did not inspire those three artists you named, who aren’t copycat imitators. Funny that you try to insult Kendrick by saying he makes “backpack music” when that’s code for dope music. Frank Ocean likes women, too, and Chris Brown doesn’t beat women and Aubrey doesn’t love them. Aubrey’s not winning at all.

      2. Frank ocean prefers to take it in the rear though instead of enjoying open pussy. backpack music is suburban music that happens to be wack. And Chris Brown abused rihanna. Aubrey certainly loves women. Name one time where drake has beaten up someone else. Drake is winning and is now bigger than the beatles. Name one hiphop artist that is currently selling more than drake.

      3. How would you know what Frank likes? Were you around him? Backpack music is always used as a term for lyrical, not suburban wack, which Kendrick isn’t (he raps about being from Compton, a ghetto, Drake is the suburban one). Aubrey only loves himself and no one else. He is not winning and is not bigger than the Beatles. No one will ever be bigger than the Beatles. Also, Drake is a pop artist, not hip-hop

    3. Drizzaveli Da 6 God continues his reign on hip hop and music. If Kendrick and Cole are such better artists, why can’t they do shit like this? Like Drizzaveli said, he got the Midas touch. Everything he touches turns to gold. Nobody else can do that. #DrakeIsLoveDrakeIsLife

      1. So according to you, selling records, no matter the quality, automatically means you’re the best artist. I bet you think Taylor Swift had the best album of last year.

      2. Swift’s a white girl pop artist. A lot of teens that aren’t into hiphop are of course going for taylor swift. Drake has crossover success and is the biggest hiphop artist right now beating out future, meek, ross, and nicki. Cole and Kendrick aren’t even hiphop artists. They are suburban pop artists. In contrast, Drake had a tough life before he signed to cash money.

      3. Drake has the same audience as Taylor Swift. A lot of teens are listening to his shit. He’s not hip-hop, he’s pop. Kendrick and Cole are not suburban or pop, they’re hip-hop artists from the ghetto. Drake had an easy life as a Canadian teen actor from the suburbs. Fuck off with your lies.

      4. If he were to share any fanbase, it would be justin bieber’s but even he is R&B. Only difference is that drake leans more towards hiphop while bieber leans towards R&B. Kendrick and Cole had easy lives with pop producer growing up with connections. Drake had a tough life with his actor pay being minimal. His family was struggling.

      5. Justin Bieber is pop, too, just like Drake. Both of them have the same fanbase as Taylor Swift. Neither of them are hip-hop or R&B. Kendrick and Cole did not have easy lives and they don’t know any pop producers with connections. They’re from the inner city, their lives aren’t easy. Aubrey, by comparison, had it easy. He wasn’t paid minimal at all, he was financially set and his family never struggled.

      6. He lied. His pay was good and his conditions weren’t tough considering the suburbs of Canada. His mother never struggled, she got it good.

      7. What proof? There is none. Aubrey’s pay wasn’t minimal and his conditions weren’t tough. He’s from Canada, for God’s sake.

      8. fake drake is a bitch ass pop singer not a hip hop artist, he don’t write his own shit, steals others verses. one can only hope he is struck down with throat cancer. biggest fraud in the music industry.

    4. 8 tracks off that album that even this canadian hip hop website can’t justify giving a 4/5 too? The hype is real, well it’s been real hip hop.

    5. Only in the current wack ass era could a wack ass so called rapper like Drake be so popular. Hip-hop culture (whatever is left of it) has been an absolute embarrassment for the last 15 years or so. People are so easily impressed nowadays.
