Drake is preparing to release a joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR and teased fans with a preview ahead of its official debut.
While performing on the most recent stop of his Anita Max Win tour in Australia, Drizzy let the crowd in on what to expect from the project, which arrives on Friday (February 14).
“It’s called $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, but it’s some turned up songs for you on there too,” he said. “And there’s some personal feelings on there for you. So hopefully whoever you’re with on Valentine’s Day, hopefully y’all can share that experience together.”
He then took to Instagram to preview one of the songs, titled “Crying In Chanel.”
A tracklist has not been revealed, but PND previously said there will be 15 songs on the album.
In addition to the album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, Drake is preparing a new solo effort as well – but he plans to drop it “when the time is right.”
Talking to fans on the second night of the tour last week, Drizzy revealed that he’s got some things to share.
“Eventually when the time is right, Drizzy Drake alone by himself is gonna have to have a one-on-one talk to y’all,” he said after plugging the PND collab. “When the time is right, I’ll be back with another album — a one-on-one conversation with y’all that you need to hear.”
Drake kicked off the tour on February 4 in Perth.
During a heartfelt speech at the end of the show, Drizzy thanked the sold-out venue for keeping his career going for nearly 20 years and made sure to note that he is “very much alive.”
“My name is Drake. I started doing music in 2008,” he said. “I come all the way from Toronto, Canada. The year is now 2025, and no matter what, Drizzy Drake is very much alive and that’s all thanks to you. I love you.”
The 6 God, who had just recently watched his fierce rival Kendrick Lamar sweep the Grammys with his diss song “Not Like Us,” was clearly in a defiant mood during the show.
He walked out to the stage wearing a hoodie riddled with faux bullet holes and a trial of smoke behind him, while his 2011 song “Over My Dead Body” played through the speakers.
The Toronto native also wrote on Instagram alongside photos from the concert: “They thought einstein was lying & shakespeare was barely rhyming & edison wasn’t lit despite what he was designing. So how can I give af what they say about my stars aligning.”
Was Vultures a troll at this? It feels like Ye made those albums as this prediction.
Drake is going to flop so hard!
He sold nearly 500k with his last album first week and that was before kendrick’s hate boosted drake’s popularity again. He’ll be selling nearly a million on its first week.
No, he won’t. And you’re gay as shit for defending another man you don’t know online. What f@@@@g 😭
Drake needs to diss everyone SZA, Serena, Kendrick, TDE, UMG, NFL, Apple, Kai Cenat, Metro, Future, Rihanna, Jay-Z, Beyonce, he has to push out a pearl harbor on them. Party isn’t that guy get some real soldiers.
LeBron too!
Drake ruined his career because he tried to diss someone. It’s probably best for him that he sticks to making his shitty pop music
Sent that boy back to r&b 😆
Same thing Eminem did to MGK 🤣
Drake needs Kanye. Drop 40 and run to Kanye for a collab album.
Maybe you’re right. Drake and Ye have both released nothing but garbage albums for the past decade, it makes sense for them to make an album together. Dumpster Juice would be a good name for it
For your protection, go sit in the r and b section for this session.
