Drake’s philanthropy takes on a range of different forms, which are almost always impossible to anticipate, and the grand gesture he is making for fans on his birthday continues this tradition.
On Wednesday (October 18), Drizzy announced a one-time giveaway with Dave’s Hot Chicken for his big day on October 24. As the Toronto native turns 37, restaurant locations across the world will hand out a free crispy chicken slider or tender to those who download the fast-food chain’s app on their phones.

“The October 24 celebration is going on locally, and at every Dave’s Hot Chicken from Coast-to-Coast (and abroad) from 11am -9pm local time,” the official notice reads. “To get in on the action, guests simply need to hit Dave’s Hot Chicken and scan their Dave’s Hot Chicken app at the register.
“No coupon or code needed. In return, they’ll get a spiced-to-order slider or tender of their heat level preference. This celebration is only available when visiting the restaurant, and not online or through third-party delivery services.”
In 2021, Dave’ Hot Chicken co-founder told Eater Los Angeles that the rapper and singer had bought into the business. “He has a large stake,” Arman Oganesyan said without revealing too much. “As far as investors go, he has a very good stake.”
Last month, Drake extended his generosity to a concert attendee, offering a large sum of money after his girlfriend broke up with him prior to the show. In late September, the “Hotline Bling” hitmaker took the stage at Miami’s Kaseya Center. During the show, he noticed a fan holding up a sign.

“Aye, I gotta read that sign, I like that sign,” he said upon noticing it. “That’s a good sign to pick tonight. Usually I’ll do something nice for a lady. I’d do something nice, I’ll give away a bag or some shit like that.
“But my bro right here,” he continued. “He said ‘I spent all my savings buying tickets for me and my ex, but Honestly, Nevermind, it’s really Her Loss.’ So she ain’t come with you tonight? She ain’t come with you tonight to the Drake show?! What the fuck is wrong with her?”
When the crowd began chanting “Fuck that bitch,” Drizzy said: “Alright, that’s a little aggressive, but you know what? She’s gonna feel real fucked up, ’cause I’ma give you 50 bands so you gon’ flex on her tonight. That’s how we doing it tonight, big dog! It’s your night tonight! And I won’t say it how y’all said it, but fuck that young lady.”
This wasn’t the first time Drake went out of his way to bless a lucky fan during his It’s All A Blur Tour.
Earlier that month, he decided to bless a loyal fan with $50,000 after they spent their furniture money to attend his sold-out show in Las Vegas.
