Drake has left a longtime fan disappointed by allegedly not giving them the G-Wagon that they apparently won fair and square.
Speaking to HipHopDX, the mother of the winner’s friend claims the youngster had the winning ticket — ending in “17483” — but couldn’t take the prize home.
The alleged reason for being stiffed out of the prize is the son’s friend wasn’t a Canadian citizen, as they’d driven from Pittsford, NY, to attend the concert. Reportedly, the prize wasn’t transferrable to the United States.
“Their discussion with my son and his friend went on for nearly an hour, trying to come up with some way that he could accept the car,” the mother alleged. “After nearly an hour talking to these people, the winner was told, ‘No, you absolutely cannot take the vehicle – and the winning prize (the vehicle) is not transferable.’ They had previously been discussing ways to possibly transfer the vehicle to a Canadian citizen.”
She continued: “Those leading the contest should have been able to tell the winner up front, right away, that the prize was absolutely not transferable. Instead they went back and forth about it, and in the end, my son’s friend walked away with nothing, and they both missed the last hour of the concert!!! Absolutely ridiculous!! Handled very unprofessionally in my opinion.”
“I appreciate that Drake is so generous, but this situation left two of his fans very unhappy and disappointed after they drove over three hours to Toronto and paid for a hotel room and concert tickets,” she concluded.
HipHopDX has reached out to Drake’s publicist for comment.
On Saturday (October 7), Drake gave away a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon on the last of two hometown Toronto dates on his It’s All A Blur Tour.
The car is possibly the most expensive gift that the 6 God has given away to date. While it was unclear exactly which model or year of car the star was giving away, a 2023 G550 SUV has a suggested retail price of $139,900.
“This is what I’m gonna do,” Drizzy said from the stage. “I’m gonna pick a winning ticket out of this drum here. I want everybody to be super-quiet.”
He invited a stagehand up to the stage, then drew the ticket reading “17483.” The lucky fan was in an upper section of the arena.
Lol, there was never a G-Wagon…
six fraud at it again!
So it was a marketing ploy by a local Mercedes Benz dealership then. Modern fraud rappers strike again. No he will be forced to spend his own money on the prize for this kid so he can get ahead of the bad publicity and he will NOT be happy. Somebody in his management team getting fired for this self exposure
6 Fraud. Getting in his feelings when called out, and for a “rich privileged Canadian” acts and says he has these many girls, cars, private jet, but can’t be an honest entertainer lol. Drake. Go play with a kite with metallic rods attached to it during a lightning storm on a high hill. And don’t come back. His beard makes his face look like a homeless vagina.

Its probably for the best, im pretty sure the average person wouldn’t be able to afford the maintenance that truck requires when the warranty is up.
