Drake allegedly had to pony up more than $230,000 after his infamous Detroit show — but some critics are calling shenanigans on his claim.
In a video from his concert on Saturday (July 8), the Scorpion rapper can be seen addressing the audience directly, claiming that he’d be fined $10,000 per minute that he went past the allotted time slot for his show.

“It’s $10,000 a minute to stay in this building past curfew,” he said to the audience. “But I don’t give a fuck. We’re doing this whole song. Let’s go.”
The audience responded by chanting “let’s go!” in response to his claim. Check out the video below.
According to the Detroit Free Press, however, Drake’s claims don’t exactly pass the smell test.
“We’ll point out there actually is no curfew at Little Caesars Arena, but hey — what’s a little feel-good embellishment among 20,000 of your closest admirers?” the outlet wrote in their review of the show.
This is just the latest example from the 6 God’s Detroit shows that they’re proving to be one of his more notorious stops from his tour.
The Honestly, Nevermind artist was in Detroit for two shows at the Little Caesars Area on Saturday (July 8) and Sunday (July 9).
During one of the nights, Drizzy was forced to duck for cover after being bombarded with bras, shoes and hats thrown on stage by fans in the crowd.

Drake went on to ask the crowd to stop throwing bras at him while he’s performing.
“Oh shit!” he said. “This not what we wanna see, a big-ass shoe. This what I need you to do, Detroit, this what I need to you do, please, for me. I’m so grateful to be back in this building with you after all this time that we had to sit in the crib, right?

“Please stop throwing bras up here, I can’t — I feel like I’m on clean-up duty tonight… titty clean-up duty. This is crazy.”
In less notorious news, however, Drake also revealed that Nicki Minaj will make a special guest feature appearance on his upcoming album, For All The Dogs, during his Detroit show on Saturday (July 8).

“I’m gonna give away one thing for you tonight, because I got a lot of love for Detroit,” he said on stage. “So I’m gonna have to tell you that me and Nicki Minaj did our first song together in, like, a really long time. I got a lot of love for her. Okay. Let me just assess the titties tonight, and then, we’ll get to the most important part.”
While the 6 God didn’t reveal the name of the track worked on with the head Barb, nor did he reveal when the single would be released, he certainly got the crowd excited about the prospect.
