Drake has seemingly mocked J. Cole over an alleged JAY-Z slight that happened years ago.

The 6 God’s apparent burner Instagram account, @plottttwistttttt, was revealed on Tuesday (August 6) thanks to the 100-gigabyte content dump that he shared, which includes unreleased music and never-before-seen footage.

Among dozens of posts dating back to June 2024 is a screenshot of a viral tweet from 2019 poking fun at the Dreamville rapper and his complicated relationship with his Roc Nation label boss.

The post reads: “remember when j cole got his phone stolen out of his pocket by a fan and they called jay z from it but he wasn’t answering so they called from their own phone and he picked up.”

The account uploaded the screenshot in late June after things appeared to sour between Drake and J. Cole as a result of the North Carolina rapper bowing out of his beef with Kendrick Lamar.

Cole, whose fiery verse on “First Person Shooter” is somewhat responsible for the long-simmering feud between Drizzy and K. Dot spilling over, controversially apologized for dissing the Compton rapper on “7 Minute Drill” at his Dreamville Festival in April.

He was then accused of betraying Drake by featuring on Future and Metro Boomin’s We Still Don’t Trust You given the pair’s previous album was home to “Like That” and countless other shots at the Toronto native.

Complicating matters further, We Still Don’t Trust You contained more disses aimed at Drizzy courtesy of A$AP Rocky and The Weeknd.

Drake later touched on Cole’s hesitancy to battle and admiration of Kendrick on his diss songs “Push Ups” and “Family Matters,” rapping: “I don’t care what Cole think, that Dot shit was weak as fuck” and “Cole losin’ sleep on this, it ain’t me,” respectively.

While Kendrick has yet to publicly address Cole’s apology, he did namedrop his “Forbidden Fruit” collaborator on “Not Like Us,” accusing Drake of doing him dirty.

“Did Cole foul, I don’t know why you still pretendin,'” he rapped, seemingly referencing his rival’s aforementioned bars.

It was even claimed by podcaster Mal that Drake’s beef with Kendrick impacted his relationship with J. Cole.

“He might get mad at me for talking about but he knows he’s my n-gga. I asked Drake one question. I said, ‘Yo, you going to Dream Fest this weekend?’” Mal said on an episode of the New Rory & Mal podcast in April following the North Carolina festival.

“And he gave me an answer that was kind of weird Friday night hearing it, but Sunday night it made all the sense in the world. He says, ‘I don’t know, should I? ‘Cause it’s weird right now. Are we performing the record? Can we ever perform ‘First Person Shooter’?’”

The podcaster continued to relay Drake’s response, seemingly in his own words: “He has to change the bar now. He has to shit on Kendrick now. So we gonna shit on Kendrick every time we do the record? Nobody wants to hear us together unless we dissing Kendrick.”
