Drake is the latest rapper to praise Bun B‘s Trill Burgers after stopping by the Houston restaurant to give props to one of his mentors earlier this week.

The 6 God made a surprise visit to the new H-Town staple’s brick-and-mortar location on Monday (June 19) where he lent his stamp of approval to the UGK rapper’s work in the culinary department.

Taking to his Instagram Story to give the Trill Burger a rave review, Drizzy crowned it the “best burger” he’s ever had in his life.

“I don’t like to use the term OG, this is one of my mentors. This is one of my favorite people in the world,” Drake said of Bun before asking him to tell his followers where they were at.

“Right now you’re sitting in Trill Burgers having one of the best burgers in the world,” he replied. “People are very respectful here. We get a couple of big deals in here every now and then. Maybe not this big.”

Drake capped off the clip with high praise for the burger after munching it down with a side of fries: “The best burger I’ve ever had, for real.”

The UGK rapper and Drizzy’s relationship dates back to the early days of the 6 God’s career when Bun B lent him a Texas-sized co-sign. They exchanged features in 2010 when Drake appeared on Bun’s “Put It Down” while Bun B returned the favor on the 6 God’s Thank Me Later cut “Uptown” alongside Lil Wayne.

Drake also gave a nod to Bun and his late UGK rhyme partner Pimp C on the Take Care track “Under Ground Kings.”

Launched in Houston in 2021 with a series of pop-ups, Trill Burgers was crowned “best burger in America” by Good Morning America last summer. It’s also received celebrity co-signs among the likes of Tyler, The Creator, James HardenBusta Rhymes, Jadakiss and more – with the latter noting that the burgers are “like a Dr. Dre beat.”

Bun B has been active in the Hip Hop community for over three decades now, but his love for food only came to light recently. In an interview with HipHopDX last year, the lifelong food enthusiast explained how he ended up in the burger business.

“I’m a big boy, so I’ve always been a fan of food,” Bun B said. “A friend of mine and I started a food blog a little more than 10 years ago called You Got To Eat This, my friend Premium Pete from Brooklyn.

“We met in other things, but we bonded over food. And so even locally, in the city, I’ve been a big proponent of food trucks and trying to direct people to different great places to eat.”
