Drake seems to get injured more than any non-athlete in music and has now suffered an ankle sprain while on vacation.
The 6 God revealed he hurt his ankle during Sunday’s (December 17) livestream for the $1million Stake giveaway while he was hanging poolside in Turks and Caicos.

“I’m sitting down for today’s stream,” Drake said. “I rolled my ankle yesterday. I’m keeping it real with you. That’s the bad news.”
While he didn’t reveal the exact cause of the ankle injury, there’s speculation that he rolled it during a basketball game in Turks. Over the weekend, Drake posted a series of photos hooping in the SBL Christmas Classic 2023.

Footage also emerged on Sunday of Drake getting the royal treatment of being wheeled around the Turks resort with a golf cart as he had a pair of crutches with him to take some weight off his ankle.

This isn’t the first time Drake has suffered an injury. Back in January 2021, Drizzy was forced to delay his Certified Lover Boy album deeper into the year after he underwent knee surgery in late 2020, pointing to rehab and recovery.
“I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab, my energy has been dedicated to recovery,” he wrote. “I’m blessed to be back on my feet, feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January.”

He concluded on a more positive note but wouldn’t commit to a firm release date: “I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021.”
In the same livestream over the weekend, Drake addressed the “non-believers” and possibly took a shot at Metro Boomin who deleted a tweet jabbing Her Lossearlier in December.

“To the rest of you — the non-believers, the underachievers, the tweet and deleters — you guys make me sick to my stomach, fam,” he continued. “Look at my eyes — you guys wanna do something? That’s what I thought.”
While it’s unclear if Drake was referring to anyone in particular, his comments come shortly after Metro Boomin tweeted and deleted a post throwing shade at his Her Loss album with 21 Savage.
In response to a post on X (formerly Twitter) pointing out that Metro’s Heroes & Villains album has accumulated more streams than Her Loss, the producer wrote: “Yet Her Loss keeps winning rap album of the year over H&V. Proof that award shows are just politics and not for me.
“Idc about awards honestly, the true award and REWARD is knowing that the music I spend so much time on brings joy to people’s everyday lives.”

Drake seemingly fired back on his Instagram Stories, quoting a few select lyrics from JAY-Z‘s “Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love)”: “Damn, little mans, I’m just tryin’ to do me/ If the record’s two mil, I’m just tryin’ to move three.”
He then appeared to cut ties further by unfollowing Metro on Instagram.
