Dr. Dre may be the only Hip Hop fan on the planet who’s never listened to either The Chronic or Doggystyle — at least, that’s what he told Stephen A. Smith in a new interview.

Dre and Snoop Dogg were guests on The Stephen A. Smith Show in a new episode that premiered on Friday (October 18). During the sit-down, Dre was asked by the show’s titular host if he ever reflects on his accomplishments.

“I don’t look back,” Dre began. “I never listen to my old music or anything like that.”

To show that he wasn’t exaggerating, he continued: “I’ve never listened to my old music. I never let anybody play it around me. I feel like that’s masturbation at the highest level.”

“I like to masturbate,” Snoop jokingly responded.

Dre wasn’t thrown, and went on: “I’m always thinking forward. I don’t live my life with a rear-view mirror. I don’t give a fuck about what I did or what’s in the past.”

The legendary producer said he could imagine a day in the future where he might “sit down with my grandkids at some point and listen to some of the things I’ve done.”

Snoop confirmed Dre’s story.

Snoop and Dre were joining Smith to talk about their upcoming album Missionary — their first full album collaboration since Snoop’s 1993 debut Doggystyle. But that’s not the duo’s only new project. They’ve also expanded their beverage brand with a brand new spirit named after an iconic song they made together.

The duo took to Instagram on Tuesday (October 15) to reveal the name of their new gin.

A promotional photo features the duo sporting suave tuxedos and holding cocktail glasses.

The caption reads: ” Introducing a fresh spin on tradition. Defiantly smooth, Still G.I.N. by Dre and Snoop has arrived. #StillGIN.”

The name, of course, is a play on the duo’s JAY-Z-penned classic song “Still D.R.E.”
