Dr. Dre Joins Eminem In Chrysler 300 Ad Campaign

Chrysler’s recent Super Bowl ad featuring Eminem celebrating both the company’s and the emcee’s hometown of Detroit were a huge hit. Now, according to USA Today, the company is looking to repeat that success by enlisting Em’s mentor, Dr. Dre. In spots that are scheduled to being airing in May Dr. Dre will act as pitchman for Chrysler’s 300 Sedan.

The campaign is reportedly going to show the good doctor hard at work, at his studio and developing his growing brand of audio products. The theme of the ad being that the Chrysler 300 is a luxurious reward for a job well done. Chrysler CEO Olivier Francois tells USA Today, “This will be a breakthrough in terms of how you speak about luxury (in) this country. It doesn’t speak about luxury in terms of just aesthetic, but about luxury in terms (of) the spirit.”

As far as Dre’s day job is concerned the world still waits for a confirmed release day for the perpetually delayed Detox. For now, that album’s lead single, “I Need A Doctor,” peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and has sold in excess of one million copies.

    1. Dre doesnt write his own songs, he doesnt make the beats on his own (has a big team) this dude is the equivilent to Justin Beiber

      1. dude is right dr dre used to make beats but he also works with ghostproducers like scot storch, sam sneed etc.

      1. Em had an appearance in the commercial for the 200 as well as they featured the “Lose yourself” instrumental. The commercials for the 300 only feature the song.

    2. seriously dre fuckin put out the album you had ur shot with the first 2 singles and they werent the best but fuck it put out the album it will go gold but thats prolly it

    3. time for commercial you bitch ass but no time to make an album?????

fucking sellout. whats next dr dre shoes….

    4. face it we need hiphop to hit the charts so that underground hiphop can survive. I admit the eminem who faced mc juice and although lost was holding his own that eminem who later used that dopeness to spit some hot lines has gone straight out of the window i can understand why niggas is trying to reinvent themselves…i sure as hell dont like how the long awaited detox is sounding but i have to give props to dre his shrap.I don’t know if it was intentional or not but not dropping albums to soon after each other is actually like openly scouting the music scence to see what sound is the most successful and using that and taking it to the extreme its like research without research…anyway whatever i hope dre hasn’t completely lost it and will cater for his hardcore fans.

    5. Its like what crooked I said, “dudes is sitting back waitin on detox to save the west”. I highly doubt that one album will be so incredibly ground breaking that it will just change hip hop completely and recement the west coast’s place in hip hop. But in the mean time while dudes is hatin and waitin, get your money DRE!
