Doechii Currently Has More Monthly Spotify Listeners Than Any Female Rapper

Doechii‘s star has exponentially risen in 2025 after years of hard work, and the results are tangible as she now has the most monthly Spotify listeners of all women in rap.

The streaming giant released a graphic showing the listener count of the most popular female rappers on Tuesday (April 1). Sitting at the tippy top was the Florida star with just under 60 million monthly listeners.

Rounding out the top five are Doja Cat with 56.5 million, Nicki Minaj with 45.1 million, Cardi B with 28 million and Megan Thee Stallion with 26.4 million.

Doechii has been yielding accusations of being an “industry plant” in recent months as she has grown more popular.

And while accepting the honor for the 2025 Woman of the Year at Billboard’s Women in Music 2025 event on Saturday (March 29), the Grammy Award-winning star took a moment to remind the detractors of how long she’s been at this while shooting down the notion that her winning season is anything less than the direct result of her talent and the countless hours she’s put in the game.

“I cannot believe it was just two years ago I stood on this stage right here and accepted the Billboard Rising Star Award,” she said. “I had literally performed so hard I danced my shoes off and had to hop up to the mic. And here I am. That moment reflects how I approach my career – always go full out, always go hard and always be fab.”

Later in the speech, she added: “We are the creatives, we are the executives and we are the innovators who are just as central to this industry as the men. Clock it! And I want everybody to hear me clearly when I say that it is not a button, it is our brains. It is not a machine, it is our leadership. It is not a conspiracy, it is our vulnerability. And it is not an agenda, it’s God!”

Tyler, The Creator is among the many people who consider themselves a Doechii fan, and recently gave the TDE signee all her flowers.

In a new interview with the one-and-only Nardwuar, Tyler was quick to praise Doechii when her name came up and explained how he found out about her.

“Genius, love her. That girl’s an alien. She’s an alien,” he said, “I came across Doechii on something that YouTube recommended. It was the ‘Catfish’ record or ‘Nissan Altima.’ I was like, ‘What is this? Damn, this girl pretty as hell.’ And I clicked it and I was blown away and I just kept going and kept going and kept going.”

He continued: “I was like ‘Oh my God!’ and then I DMd her and I was like, ‘N-gga, I’m gonna need you in a few months!’ And then we linked and yeah, she’s incredible. I’m so happy that she [won a Grammy] and she’s in folks’ faces and we have to just keep supporting artists who care about things.”

    1. Good. Because everyone else on that list is rubbish. Bring real Hip Hop back. Even if it’s Doechii.

    2. Finally got round to listening to a track of hers after seeing so much hype, awards and articles referencing her influences and love and appreciation for the original hip hop sound and culture. I was sceptical but co signs from so many artists I respect really got me excited that finally there was a female rapper with a fresh new style worth listening to. I listen to it and it’s the same stripper rap nonsense about money, sex, clothes and hoes with no meaning, saying nothing new or interesting, same played out style no different to all the other thot rappers currently clogging up the airwaves. Rap music really is fucked in the 21st century, what a disappointment.

      1. This is the funniest part. People acting like she’s not doing THOT/bisexual black girl rap like all the rest of them because she’s getting industry plant push co-signs. These people really can form the masses’ minds because it’s like Jello. She’s also a poor copycat of Nicki Minaj, so she’s not even original sounding.

    3. The bish an industry plant 💯 the small hats planted her in the industry to destroy black brother and sister. I speak the truth all the time
