DMX Says He Will Not Be Releasing Christmas Rap Album

DMX’s extremely popular rendition of Rudolph the “Red-Nosed Reindeer” became an Internet sensation last week – but is the Yonkers rapper ready to commit to an album of Yuletide tunes?

“Um, probably not,” said X to TMZ, disappointing Hip Hop and Christmas fans everywhere.

Still Dark Man X didn’t completely discount the possibility of his brand of raw Hip Hop becoming injected with holiday cheer to form the basis for an album. “If something come up, I’ma bang it out, but I’m not, like, looking forward to doing a Christmas album.”

X also gave his take on the Christmas classic song “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus.” “There’s not really much dressing up like Santa Claus [in the projects]. You might get the story of Santa Claus, but when you’re in the projects, you know Santa Claus ain’t coming down the motherfuckin’ chimney, because ain’t no motherfuckin’ fireplace.”

    1. lol this article had to have been written as a joke. “disappointing Hip Hop and Christmas fans everywhere”? haha

    2. x is a great rapper but at some point ya gotta move on. i loved his old shit, but he wont be able to push the numbers and put out the quality albums he once did. some rappers have careers with more longevity and some are cut short. snoop, dmx, nelly… ect, they could maybe be dope on a song as a feature but an album is askin too much

      1. push the numbers? if you fuck with artist fuck with them dont fuck with artist just cuz they popular u weenie. its one thing if u not feelin his music anymore but dont let ur enviroment change ur opinion. had he been hot as hell ud be on his dick right now.

also stop expecting artist to do old music. that isnt possible. its like expecting a magical shot everytime. its impossible to do the same music everytime and please ppl like u.

      2. ^ real talk on both fronts. They let other ppl dictate what they listen to. also, they want the same shit over and over, no growth or experimentation

      3. actually my dude someone like dmx with the cash problems hes in would really need to push some numbers and hes not a main tour act anymore so there’s no money there. he’d probably be better off workin at micky d’s

      4. But that’s just it. X was never a great rapper. He had great production. That’s about it. Take that away and you have Undisputed.

      5. I copped Undisputed, for what it was i thought it was dope not as good as his previous albums but still good. Honestly if he gets in the studio with the right niggas for when and if he does another album, there ain’t no doubt in my mind he’ll come out with another ill album.

    3. i just am happy to see him not high as fuck here , because when i see him like that on some interviews it breaks my heart
