DJ Quik has debunked rumors about having a child that he was previously unaware of, claiming that a fake social media account in his name is responsible for spreading the lie.
On Monday (August 28), the West Coast icon reached out to HipHopDX and shut down the falsities about him having a third child. “Hey peoples, that Paternity story is false,” he told DX. “I don’t have Facebook.”

Soon after, he took to his Instagram Story and added: “Ay. So, someone is doing a hit job on Ya Boy on Facebook.”

The ordeal traces back to a recent social media post made by someone posing at the West Coast rapper and producer and admitting that he’s a father to a child that he didn’t know about until after she was born.
Last week, Facebook account claiming to be DJ Quik’s shared that he’s made contact with his daughter, Alcinina Simone, and shared details about entering her life for the first time.

“I wanted to take a moment to address something that’s been on my mind lately,” the since-deleted post read. “I wasn’t going to say anything publicly, but I believe in transparency and honesty. It’s true — I not only have two kids, but I also have three beautiful children.
“Recently, I had a deep conversation with my daughter, Alcinina, about the past and the feelings of abandonment she experienced. It was a tough conversation, but we talked it out, and I want to make it clear that I love all of my kids deeply.”
The post continued: “I understand that as a father, I have made mistakes in the past, and for that, I take full responsibility. It was difficult for me to learn that I had a child whose existence I wasn’t aware of due to her mother not informing me about the pregnancy. But, as a family, we have reconciled our differences and are moving forward with love and understanding.”
“My goal now is to be the best father I can be for all of my children. They are my world, and I will do everything in my power to support and nurture them. Family means everything to me, and I cherish the opportunity to grow and learn from my experiences as a father. Thank you for your continued support and understanding. I appreciate each and every one of you. Let’s spread love and positivity together! [sparkles emoji, prayer hands emoji].”
