DJ Premier Delivers “Gifts” To Eminem’s Shady Records

DJ Premier is featured in an image posted by Shady Records’ Instagram account.

“Look who stopped by Shady today with gifts for all. @djpremier,” the company says in its post caption.

DJ Premier has worked with Shady Records artists in different ways. The deejay, who has produced several records for Slaughterhouse’s Royce Da 5’9, backed the company during cyphers for BET’s Hip Hop Awards

Preemo also spoke about his work with Eminem in the cyphers in the past.

“Eminem got busy on the Shady cypher when they did it themselves, with Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf and him,” he said at the time. “That was a fun shoot.”

Shady Records is preparing its upcoming SHADYXV compilation album. The effort is set to feature Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf and D-12. The project is slated to be released November 28.

      1. ^ Let’s see if people will still play DJ Mustard songs and still record freestyles over his beats 20-25 years from now. Premo made classics, Mustard isn’t gonna last much longer.

      1. There part of Shady’s management wing. Paul Rosenburg is there manager, that’s the same reason there no record selling asses can get an opening spot on an Eminem concert with 70K people there lol

      2. almost 100,000 fans and those two can’t even sell 20,000 units?

what that tells me is they need to stay away from that fake ass fanbase and perform for those who appreciate music and not worship the person performing

    2. I find it really weird that Eminem has worked n known premier and alchemist for years but has never used one of their beats for his solo albums but will use some trash bullshit like that No Love lil wayne song as a single?

      1. That’s because Eminem is a pop artist, not a hip-hop artist. He’s a pop artist that can actually rap. Very little he does resembles hip-hop. That last Slaughterhouse album was garbage, because Eminem had his boy Alex Da Kid producing shit, with wack cheesy hooks and Skylar Gray singing crap.

      2. Why is it always Drake stans that be hating on Eminem? To say that he’s a pop artist and not a hip-hop artist is laughable because I can guarantee they haven’t listened to any of his music outside of the singles. Eminem is and will always be a hip-hop artist. If he’s pop, then so is Drake and every mainstream rapper.

      3. At least drake doesn’t disguise the music he makes, unlike eminem who’s trying to sell himself as a true hiphop artist when he is pop just like everyone else.

      4. Drake Til Infinity… Drake is a straight up homo and a pop/rap artist himself, like most faggots running around in the game today. With that being said, I know what your saying regarding Eminem being a pop/rap artist. Em is 100% pop-rap and I would imagine he is being controlled by the label powers that be for the the most part. I never liked Eminem or his story or his music and I never will. Watch the Eminem fanatics try to convince me that he’s a true hip-hop artist. LMAO!

      5. “At least drake doesn’t disguise the music he makes, unlike eminem who’s trying to sell himself as a true hiphop artist when he is pop just like everyone else.”

Damn homie how many times you gonna comment on the same article just to hate on a white “pop” rapper.

      6. That’s because Alc isn’t actually a good producer. Premier has always been, Em should use his beats. Not Alc’s.

      7. I haven’t listened to a full Eminem album since Marshall Mathers 1, when he was still capable of realising singles that weren’t pop, like Way I Am. I did listen to Bad Meets Evil and that Slaughterhouse album and they are pop rap albums. Yes, all the dudes can rap exceptionally well, but those albums do nothing for me. I’d honestly rather listen to Childish Gambino, at least he switches his style up and the background music isn’t as formulaic. “Sweatpants” sounds more like hip-hop than “Lighters”. I don’t care how much Eminem is rhyming his ass off.

I don’t dickride Drake like other people on this website. Outside of my name, I didn’t mention him at all.

      8. Then you are a moron. Those albums you named weren’t pop rap albums, especially Bad Meets Evil.

Yeah, you don’t dickride Drake, yet your name has his name.

    3. Drake does disguise his music. Eminem doesn’t, he’s always been a hip-hop artist from the start.

You can be as fucking delusional as you want to be and you can kid yourself as much as you want to but Eminem is nowhere near true hiphop. Drake isn’t hiphop either, he’s pop rap. However, where as drake is always pop rap, eminem sold the fuck out and did pop shit since recovery.

      1. ^Spoken like a true eminem stan right there. Now pop doesn’t always mean bad but he works with rihanna, pink, bruno mars, wayne, and nate reuss. Not many hiphop acts work with him today. His beats are pop as well and his flow is becoming more and more wack.

      2. Spoken like a true idiot. There’s been many rappers who’ve worked with those artists you named and there’s still plenty of rappers working with Eminem. The beats are still hip-hop and his flow isn’t getting wack.

      3. eminem has always been pop why don’t you try playing it next to wutang or nas… that would truely mess that lil white kids head up period!

    4. Eminem don’t want to work with DJ Premier, because Preemo doing now a poor/wack beats for no-name underground “real, true as motherfu..ka, raw rappers”
