Diplo Says RiFF RaFF’s New Album Is The “Future Of Music”

With the release of countless music videos and mixtape records last year, Houston rapper RiFF RaFF is now shifting his attention to the release of a studio album. Both RiFF RaFF and Diplo recently chopped it up with Vlad TV about the upcoming project and according to Diplo, the album could be the “future of music.”

The producer and Mad Decent creator praised the project as he addressed the list of featured artists that will likely be included on RiFF RaFF’s studio album.

“We got some features on this album, but we’re not trying to sell the album like it’s a bunch of rappers you [already] know about,” said Diplo. “RiFF RaFF’s already put out so many mixtapes, so many videos, this album’s kinda like a collection of like ‘Yo, this is the mothafuckin future of music.’ So, that’s what it’s about it. And it’s about him, 100 percent.”

Among the artists both Diplo and RiFF RaFF revealed would be on the album are Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, Mike Posner, and possibly Drake. Although the album cut which will feature Drake has yet to be decided, RiFF RaFF did assure fans that a collaborative record with the Canadian artist as well as a “Started From The Bottom (Remix)” is coming.

“Me and Drake we got shit coming. For the album I’m trying to decide which one and also with the ‘Started From The Bottom (Remix)’ like 40 has to mix that one down still…I know that when we shoot the video we’ll probably be at Drake’s house like cooking crab legs or something,” the “Mr. Popular” rapper explained. “I don’t know who else is on it. I’m actually not sure and actually it almost doesn’t even matter cause I crashed it so hard.”

    1. I don’t know if Riff Raff is trolling about these features or if he is serious. I don’t see him on the Started From The Bottom remix though.

    2. So basically Diplo is probably producing this and jaxing himself off about it.

This is going to be another Reincarnated bullshit. Diplo is a fucking wack producer 95% of the time.

    3. This guy actually sells records? Hahahah the rap game is a joke these days. I’m happy to stick to my old school.

    4. Whoever Diplo is he needs to be questioned about what he considers an artist to be because riff raff isn’t that. He is nothing but a gimmick. Lame rhymes with nothing to offer people. he has no real message’s in his songs plus he just looks like the new version of Vanilla Ice (if he had an even gayer make over). the fact this man made it into the rap game isn an embarrassment to the game. If you support this dude then you must not be too intelligent because you clearly only allow the TV to tell you whose hot & you never get the chance to actually form your own opinion. #WackWhiteRapper #NewVanillaIce #Embarrassment #Don’tSupport!

    5. Riff Raff looks dirty, as a matter of fact he and V-Nasty should procreate and make dirty little children…

    6. wiz is fuckin terrible mac is boring as fuck drake can rap but hes a soft ass rich boy who never came close to seeing the bottom

    7. people who dont get it hate, people who do get it love it, its simple old heads, you just dont get it, stick to your gangstarr and kool g rap cassettes, thats fine, doesnt mean riff raff sucks, just means your taste is bland, nothing to get mad about,

      1. ure buggin kool g and gang starr are bland? you wish this herb could come close to there legacy

      2. nah, you fucking new jacks just have bad taste. This goof riff raff is without a doubt the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. None of these corn balls would of had a deal in the 90’s. Back in the day, we respected emcees. Nowadays I just wanna beat them all up for being fucking stupid and thinking it’s cool. Fuck you new jacks.

    8. And with that, what little credibility he had, shot. This, to follow up that garbage excuse for Roots Reggae he produced for Snoop “Lion.”

    9. “Rap is like a set-up, a lot of games/
A lot of suckers with colorful names
      I’m so-and-so, I’m this, I’m that/
Huh, but they all just wick-wick-wack”
