Diddy allegedly got Wendy Williams fired from Hot 97 for suggesting that the Bad Boy Records founder was gay, according to Charlamagne Tha God.
Speaking on comedian Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant podcast, the Breakfast Club host addressed the tumultuous history between his mentor Williams and Diddy, which goes back several decades.
“Wendy’s whole thing was Diddy was gay,” Charlamagne said. “That’s why Wendy got fired from Hot 97. Wendy got fired from Hot 97 by Diddy ’cause that’s when Bad Boy was smoking hot. She got fired for putting that out there.”
Williams was fired from Hot 97 in 1998 after suggesting that the media mogul was homosexual. She allegedly had a photo of Diddy in an intimate situation with another man.
Charlamagne speaks on Diddy allegedly having sexual relations with actor Reginald VelJohnson, who played Carl Winslow on "Family Matters," and confirms that Diddy got Wendy Williams fired from Hot 97 in 1998 for claiming he’s gay.

Gene Deal, Diddy’s former bodyguard, also spoke about Williams’ firing in a 2022 interview with The Art of Dialogue
“The power [Diddy] had with the radio stations in New York, motherfuckers didn’t breathe hard if [Diddy] didn’t want them to,” he said. “[Diddy] got one of the hottest DJs off Hot 97 because she wanted to put up a picture of him getting his pants pulled down.
“[Diddy] told Hot 97 if they didn’t get rid of her before he got back in New York, that they was not going to get any music from any of his friends, any of the record labels executives that was cool with him. Everyone was going to boycott their station.”
There have been growing rumors in recent months about Diddy’s sexuality. In his sexual assault lawsuit, producer Lil Rod claims the mogul groped him and tried to groom him into having sex with fellow producer Stevie J.
The suit also alleges that Diddy has had sex with both Meek Mill and Usher, though it referred to them indirectly as “a Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj” and an R&B singer who “performed at the Super Bowl and had a successful Vegas residency.”
The former vehemently denied the allegations, calling them “sick.”
During an appearance on the Drinx with Ginx podcast in April, comedian Luce Cannon claimed that Diddy once had sex with Family Matters actor Reginald VelJohnson, better known to the world as Carl Winslow.
“When Diddy fucked Carl Winslow, we was at the party,” he said. “And you know, we just chilling and shit. Everybody know me. I’m a goofy n-gga, I’m funny and stuff like that. So, I hear a n-gga just wearing out some shit.
“I’m like, ‘Who’s wearing this bitch out?’ N-gga, I kicked in the door. Boom! Kick in the door, n-gga, I seen— I look, I seen Carl Winslow put his head up … I swear to God [on] dead homie, Neighborhood Crip.”
Cannon continued: “When I seen that, cuz, right, Diddy came back. And he was telling me, he was like, ‘It’s nothing more enjoyable than having a man do something for some money. I’m like cuz that shit crazier than a muthafucka.”
Power play moves.
Lol Sean is just a bad little tramp.
Just think about it. This fruity dude basically got propped up by the white executives who didn’t have an in with the other black moguls who had turned hip hop into a billion dollar industry, and he changed the course of its history. He actively stood in the middle of Pac and Biggie squashing shit. Pac wrote Biggie a letter in the summer of 1996. Puffy blocked it. Biggie wanted to squash it. Puffy told him not to. Even after he got Pac killed, Biggie wanted to leave Bad Boy. Those two dying changed the direction of where the game went after that. Hell, they made Puffy a freaking rapper with songs on the charts, and it’s been downhill since. Infiltrated from within and destroyed, and now we have this shit we see now 25 years later.
Big and Pac’s deaths definitely changed the trajectory of hip-hop.
And not for the better
The sad part is that some of us saw it happening and said something about it and were called haters or that we were just against him because of the beef. It was plain as day what was happening. Every other black mogul who tried to put all of black music, not just rappers, under a black owned distribution deal that completely cut out the majors and get artists pensions and retirement plans caught cases shortly thereafter. Meanwhile, this dude was out here getting people murdered, beating women, and sexually assaulting both men and women with top cover from the same people who stopped those other people’s motion. SMH. Like I can’t even describe to people how great the scene was in 1993/1994/1995/1996. Hot shit from so many different styles dropping every week. You used to anticipate those coming soon albums that were in magazines and the feature list of who was going to be on whose album, and it was completely destroyed from within.
Hip Hop got fruitier and gayer cuz of Diddy
nah – it wasn’t puffy that told wyclef to go around threatening random rap critics and magazine editors with beatdowns however deserved. it’s a lot more complex than that. the fact is Puffy had a lock on the clubs with his sound he was like the first Drake. He was running the 90s and 00s with all the remixes and R&B mashups no one remembers today. Give credit where it’s due.
He didn’t ‘ have shit on lock. Everybody thought it was a joke, but he was working with all of the best rappers in New York because New Yorkers closed ranks after the West fell. He was the trial balloon for these white major labor heads taking over the game because they basically made him a star with his non-rapping ass. They’ve repeated that formula ever since and eventually completely eliminated the independent black mogul who before only got distribution from the majors unless they were controlled puppets that they wanted to present as a face for whatever they were doing. It’s how all of these rapper vanity labels became a thing.
Diddy should’ve just came out by now. He would’ve gotten the support of the alphabet people and rainbow haired warriors. Now even they don’t want him
“Several decades” lol fkn feels like it
“Several decades” lol fkn feels like it
See guys Diddy ain’t all bad, he did some good things too LOL like seriously who gives AF on this one. Neither one of them has been good for our culture.
Was her ex husband Kevin Hunter a butt pirate too? Irony..
Butt Pirates ☠️ 😆
I always thought that dude looked sweet, which was ironic since she used to be calling all these rappers out. Then, she was calling her son Little Kevin, and he’s grown up to be as soft as that name would indicate.
When the shiny suit era started I think we all had questions 🤔. Carry on!!!
Most of us were disgusted by it, but it was flooded on MTV and the radio. We were told that people just wanted to party after the two biggest rappers died, but we all know that’s not really what happened. They programmed what they wanted to be hot. Puffy was shoved down our throat as a legit rap star. Dude jacked the most important hip hop song in history in my opinion, The Message, and bastardized it into some shallow look at my vanity and riches shit. It’s been all downhill since.
26 years ago… I mean who cares? And who is Wendy Williams? Why is she so important you write an article about her instead of the new Blu EP or the new DPG album? And who cares about Diddy’s sexuality? Get off his dick and get a life. He abused a money hungry b!tch, so what? Meanwhile you forgot to kiss his ass for giving us BIG, LOX, Mase, Craig Mack or Black Rob.
