Diddy has announced the launch of a new marketplace for “Black businesses and cultures worldwide.”
On Wednesday (July 12), Puff took to Instagram to share a video in which he discussed details of his latest business venture, Empower Global.

“With the launch of Empower Global. Our plan is to provide a platform for Black businesses to reach a global audience and empower customers to support and shop the best Black-owned brands in beauty, fashion, art, and lifestyle,” he began.
“We want to elevate the Black community by creating opportunities for Black entrepreneurs to build and scale successful businesses. Real economic empowerment means providing people with access, opportunity, and resources. It means us understanding the power of our dollar and keeping that money circulating in our communities.”
Of the inspiration behind Global Empower, Diddy revealed: “We were inspired by the story of Black Wall Street — where Black unity proved to be successful. We were inspired by what can be built when we support each other and invest in our communities.”
In conclusion, Diddy maintained “Empower Global will be the biggest Black-owned marketplace where customers can discover products created exclusively created by Black entrepreneurs.

“This is our Black Wall Street. This is our Black Main Street. This platform will fund and fuel the Black economy. It’s essential for us to empower each other to create real change in this world. Together we can make a difference. Together we can empower each other and transform our communities. Together we can build a more inclusive and empowered future.”
In the caption, Diddy (real name Sean Combs) shared that inspiring change has been top of mind for him for quite some time, but that people must unite and support one another in order to succeed.
“For a long time, I thought about how to create radical change,” he wrote. “Over the years I’ve realized radical change starts with us. I’m extremely passionate about creating a platform that will show the power of unity. Through my life’s work and the different stages of success, I’ve realized for our people to break through and advance we have to do things together.
“Empower Global represents a solution to all of the things that have held our communities back. Let’s unite, brand by brand, company by company, person by person, customer by customer, and dollar by dollar.”
